French Street Bistro — Restaurant in West Hollywood

Well, I didn't heed the reviews and still went to stop here for a quick coffee break! Sure enough, the service was ungodly piss poor! I mean, c'mon!! I think the staff here just hates life! Ughh! I'm good with the long lines, it's an amusement park, it comes with territory. I'm ok with the higher-than-normal price and the mediocre food too, again it's an amusement park. We thought the lady at the register was nice enough and the older lady who handed out drinks was pleasant. However, the adolescent child who actually made their drinks was just utterly horrible! Couldn't make the drinks proficiently enough in the order they were placed so folks who ordered much later got their drinks first because it was "easier to make", like maybe pour into a cup. Some of us who ordered something a bit more complicated like ohh I don't know..."need to blend some ice", had to wait another 10 minutes. I checked on the status of my order and she just rudely said without looking at me even, "well we're busy ok!" I'm so happy that she has this job but one that she obviously doesn't care for, but my goodness, take the angst about all of it somewhere else. Some of us actually love to enjoy our lives! I had a worst experience ever. I asked if they can kindly make my iced latte sweet and was told that I would need to pay $1.75 (!!!) to make it sweet. I asked if I can have a whipped cream instead of chocolate on my crepe since my son likes it, and they denied it but still didn’t add a chocolate at least. I saw how they adding a whipped cream to another costumer. I used to visit Universal Studios with the whole family for a years, we spent thousands dollars there. After I was treated with that “service”, I’ll never return to this park again. I felt like all this fun and beauty atmosphere is just money maker machine and we are all used to...

The food here is actually pretty good, the prices perhaps not as much. For two sandwiches and a refill it was $35, even for theme park prices that’s pretty high. They have a few sandwiches and pastries in here, going with the French theme. Picked up a caramel macchiato and it was just ok, perhaps needed a bit more caramel. Price on the coffee was reasonable, also picked up a chocolate croissants and it had real good flavor. There always seems to be plenty of seating in here, staff is pretty friendly as well.
