My family and I love 110 Grill. We’ve had nothing but great experiences (in Nashua, Manchester and Stratham locations). Three out of six people in my family have severe food allergies and felt grateful to have a safe place to eat that everyone enjoyed.
We came to this specific location last year and had absolutely amazing food and service. We were expecting the same this time.
We decided to stop in for a late lunch (7/1 @ 2:30 pm), and it was almost empty. We were seated after a few minutes of waiting (for a staff member to greet us — which wasn’t a big deal at all), and got our drinks relatively quickly. Our waitress was very kind and did try to make sure everyone could eat safely. While waiting on our entrees and appetizers, we overhead the kitchen staff loudly complaining about having to accommodate guests with food allergies (rolling their eyes, sighing, and saying that customers here have “every allergy under the sun”).
This was so disheartening. It already feels like such a burden to have to explain allergies, limit other people’s choices for restaurants, and it can feel as though we are being difficult (though it isn’t something we can control). 110 Grill felt like a welcoming space, and we never felt like a burden for having these uncontrollable allergies…but not after this experience.
Further, the food was not good. The appetizers weren’t cooked all the way, and the flavor left much to be desired. Our entrees came out mostly cold, one had hair, and one person in our party was served a meal containing their food allergy (which was also never happened at any 110 Grill we’ve been to). The manager did comp the meal, offer a gift card, and told us someone from their culinary office would be calling to discuss what happened (though they have not). While this was appreciated, we did hear the manager loudly complaining about having to remove the meal from our bill, and blaming his staff members for not doing more. This created a very hostile environment and even made a member of his staff cry.
Also, when using the restroom, I noticed a wet floor sign and assumed they had just mopped — but after further inspection, it was one of the toilets overflowing.
After this experience, we aren’t sure we would return. I really hope that they were just having a bad day. Though, they do need to address the overflowing toilet, and have more compassion for customers (especially when we can hear the kitchen staff from...
Read moreAs someone who has food allergies, I’m generally a huge 110 grill fan, and was thrilled when they opened in North Conway. Our first visit was shortly after they opened, and we were disappointed to learn that they didn’t have a lot of the gluten free options we were used to. We tried again a few months later and had a similar experience. Both times, the service wasn’t up to the level we’re used to at 110. We tried again recently for a pickup order through DoorDash. We placed the order and got the confirmation notice from DoorDash. We went into the restaurant when we got a text from DoorDash saying that our order should be ready. The staff person asked for the name it was under, and said it wasn’t quite ready yet. After waiting another 10 minutes, we tried again,. They again asked for our name, and said it wasn’t ready but would be right up. We waited and went back in, and were told a third time that it was almost ready. The fourth time it was a full 45 minutes since DoorDash had told us it would be ready, and were told it still wasn’t ready. We asked if we could speak to a manager. The manager came out and said there were no orders under our name, and that DoorDash had been down all day. The manager tried to tell us we couldn’t have ordered and insisted we hadn’t been charged even though we had proof of both the order and bank charge. He was completely unapologetic about his staff having told us for over an hour at this point that our order was coming, insisting that it was a DoorDash issue, and saying if we wanted their food we could come in and order like everyone else. I am generally pretty forgiving and understanding, but his complete lack of accountability and understanding after having had three of his staff not telling us they didn’t actually have an order for us was shocking, especially given his almost accusatory tone. Needless to say, we won’t be giving this location a...
Read moreWent last night August 23rd. Wanted to try it because I’ve been to other 110 grills in Massachusetts. Our serving a young male Forgot him name was great. The restaurant was not very busy plenty of open tables.@6:00 PM . We sat right next to the grilling cooking area. We saw it all and it was complete chaos . The expediter or expo was barking but, nothing was moving very well. We watched food sit few a long time under the warming lights. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer which took 20 minutes to get. We also ordered 2 shrimp scampis and a cheeseburger for our meals. After a good half hour our server came over and apologized and can’t understand what’s taking so long. I told him he was good and it’s not his fault. I told him I can see the problems. I blame it all on the expediter. I did notice one cook on the grill steaks burgers and it looked like he was doing more than his own station he was killing it but it wasn’t enough. Our server went over several times he came to us several times I told him he can’t cook it too.after at least 45 min we finally got 2 of our 3 dishes the shrimp scampi pasta sauce and a couple shrimp we watched the cook at best 3 minutes to cook each. We waited for the burger I heard the expediter shout out waiting for a cheeseburger. Umm sorry Mr. Expediter you don’t serve until all is ready to go . I could see all the servers just standing around waiting lots of takeouts were going out . But, my waif notice a gentlemen waiting for a long time for his takeout and was frustrated as hell. Not blaming our server he did everything he could to get our meal in a timely manner. This place has a major serving issue or at least last night it did. Thankfully we went on what I would call a slow night. Nothing like the Grill 110s we go to in Mass....
