Me and my wife came in and stand in line at the front counter one Saturday night. Including us, there were about ten people standing in line. We stand there close to a half hour waiting to get service. Meanwhile, there's a lady who had to drive back twice because they kept screwing up her order and she couldn't get anyone to come to the counter to wait on her. Me and my wife get so fed up we leave and go to the newer Oak street location.
Fast forward two months or so, I came here last night on a Saturday a few minutes after 9 pm. I'm the only one in the drive thru at this time and only about two customers' cars outside. Very slow. I order two chicken sandwich combos with a box of biscuits, not that hard. I pull up to the window and an older, shorter lady comes to the window. She was curt but polite enough I suppose, she takes my debit card and starts ringing me up and walks off leaving my debit card on the counter. I keep looking through the drive thru window and no one seems to have their act together. I wait fifteen minutes and a younger, taller lady comes to the window and finally gives me my debit card and drinks. She has to ask me what I ordered because they evidently forgot. I wait another five minutes (I've been at the window about twenty minutes now) and the younger girl comes back and hands me my food and I ask for Mardi Gras mustard and she proceeds to tell me "that's 28 cents per packet". You're going to charge me for mustard packets after I've been sitting here for over twenty minutes? Seriously?
This location has seriously started to go downhill for the past year and it seems to only be getting worse. According to the other reviews I've been reading on here over the last couple of months, I'm not the only one who thinks so. Seriously, avoid...
Read moreOrdered via Doordash. The Dasher arrived promptly and informed me that the restaurant was out of nuggets. The lady at the restaurant told the Dasher to tell me to cancel the order and then reorder. Once Doordash shows an order is being prepared, it is not possible for the customer to cancel and still get a refund. The lady at Popeyes could not understand this and kept pushing for me to cancel the order, which would have allowed them to keep the money.
I said that they could just cancel that portion of the order or switch out the nugget combo for a chicken strip combo at the same price or the closest one to it. They do not have their chicken strips available on the Doordash service for some reason, only nuggets and regular chicken, or else I would have ordered that to begin with.
Three very nice Dashers tried to resolve the issue. Any other time I have experienced an unavailable item, the restaurant has been the one to cancel that portion of the order. The Dashers were at a loss for what to do, were unable to come to an agreement with the lady at Popeyes, and ended up just having to leave. I could hear the lady being very unhelpful and borderline rude to the Dasher while the Dasher had me on the phone. The Dasher was given an excuse of food costs being too high, which was completely irrelevant to the issue at hand. In the end, it appeared that someone at Popeyes figured out how to cancel on their end as my Doordash account showed that the order was cancelled after the last Dasher left.
All in all, this was an extremely dissatisfying experience, and I will not be attempting to order from this restaurant...
Read moreWe have been here almost 30 minutes and haven't gotten our food yet and several people that were here before us hasn't gotten their food yet either. One couple that had been here a while went up to check on their order and the workers said they had lost their order entirely. The dining room is a mess. We ask to get a table cleaned but no one has even attempted to come clean them. If we don't get our order in a few minhutes we will be getting our money back and going somewhere else. This is ridiculous!!! We just went up to get our money back and the manager was called up to give the refund and was only going to refund $17.02 and we paid $19.07. My husband was checking our receipt for the amount and the manager got VERY rude with him and said she had to have the receipt for corporate and he said we wanted the whole refund and she was getting rude by the minute. I quickly told her she was being rude and she said she did nothing wrong and said she hadn't even talked to us. We kept the receipt until she gave us the right amount and gladly gave it back to her.
