We had not been in a while when we stopped in a couple days ago. The food was delicious and fresh, but the actual amount of food in the Cabo Bowl was very noticeably less than what it used to be. The side serving of chips was also much less. There were not even enough chips to finish the bowl. And the bowl's portion was so small that I finished it and was still hungry. When, in the past, I could never come close to finishing one, and had nearly an entire meal left to take home.
I also noticed, while standing at the register waiting for my husband's burrito to be finished, that the frame holding the signs above the counter was literally encased with giant dust bunnies. It was in dire need of a good cleaning!
I know costs are rising, but the total for 2 regular drinks, a Cabo bowl, and a burrito, with no additional charge add-ons, was nearly $30! It was definitely not worth that for the amount of food...
Read moreBlue Coast Burrito has always been one of our must-stop places when traveling from Middle Tennessee to East Tennessee. We’ve stopped here many times, and the service has consistently been top-tier, with fresh, flavorful food that never disappoints—especially the fish tacos, which have been our go-to.
Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to the high standards we’ve come to expect. We ordered five fish tacos, and sadly, four of them were cold while only one was mildly warm. The fish was barely warm, the flour tortillas felt almost frozen, and the baja toppings were just as cold. There were no limes included, which usually come standard.
It was disappointing to have such an off experience at a place we’ve always looked forward to. We hope this was just an off day, because we know how good Blue Coast Burrito can be, and we’d love to see it return to the quality we’ve come to enjoy time...
Read morePlease don’t compare this rating to Murfreesboro/Smyrna locations. I get it the city of Cookeville as a whole is very conservative & anti masks. This location doesn’t do anything to try to prevent spread of Covid or germs. The staff doesn’t wear masks or require customers to wear it. I was the only person in the whole restaurant who has a mask.
I received the smallest serving on a quesadilla I ever experienced.
In the middle TN location, I always get veggies quesadilla w/ chips and a drink and with military discount it’s always around 9 bucks. This location I only got the quesadilla and drink, NO CHIPs and the price was $10 . How does that work?
I would expect the salsa bar to be closed and individually packed. NOPE salsa bar still open buffet style.
I do not recommend...
