Red Lobster — Restaurant in Cookeville

I recently dined at the Red Lobster in Cookeville, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.

To start, I discovered a roach in my Caesar salad after I had already eaten half of it. Understandably, this was incredibly off-putting, and we immediately brought this to the attention of a gentleman who was not the manager but was described as someone "in charge." He was very nice and genuinely apologized for the situation, which I appreciated.

However, despite his kindness, our overall service was lacking. We had to repeatedly ask for bread and drinks before they finally made it to our table. The wait for our food was also excessive, and when it did arrive, it was not served at the same time for everyone at the table. To make matters worse, we didn't receive utensils until after all our meals were served, despite asking multiple times for them.

While our waitress informed us that the restaurant was busy and backed up, I couldn't help but notice that another waiter in our section was managing his tables much more efficiently and attentively.

Overall, this visit was disappointing and did not meet the standards I expect from a well-known establishment like Red Lobster. I hope they can improve their service and food safety protocols...

Well ... Ol Santa doesn't generally like to write bad reviews but ... Mrs Claus and I had just finished a marathon 9 hour photoshoot in the Cookeville TN area and just wanted to unwind and have a good meal ... Right off the bat, they were out of Michelob Ultra ... Santa has to save room for cookies right? So I settled for something else. We placed our order, got our jumbo shrimp and drinks, then was informed 10 minutes later that they just sold their last piece of Salmon ... Amazingly the table behind us was told the same thing 20 minutes later. So, Mrs C ordered some bacon wrapped scallops instead and we were going to share some of my Ultimate Feast. Then they brought my bowl of Lobster Bisque that I was really looking forward to .... Only problem there was the bisque was really watery and had zero Lobster in it! Then the Ultimate Feast and Scallops showed up .... The Feast was cold. Probably from waiting for the scallops to be made ... It was too late and we were both too hungry to send it back. We still had a 2.5 hour drive ahead of us. I gave it two stars because the cheddar cheese biscuits were outstanding and the waitress was pleasant. All in all not why we have come to expect from...

After waiting 2 hours to get our food and seeing people who were seated after us get their food before us, we finally got our food and the whole order was wrong. I ordered a 7oz ny strip and was upcharged 7.99 and it wasn’t even 7ozs it had to have been at least an 1oz and the steak I got looked like scraps from when you trim meat, the manager stated it was a filet, ny strip and filet are two different steaks it was dry and it was supposed to be medium my wife ordered the ultimate feast and they brought her something completely different. She also ordered potato soup and never even seen that. Our daughter ordered shrimp and French fries they put it on the same plate as my son’s so she didn’t even get food. Will never return to this Red Lobster, worse service ever and I’m only leaving 1 star because it won’t let me leave zero. I don’t want any apologies or excuses from the restaurant cause I know that’s what’s going to happen. I know they are going to comment “We are so sorry.” We the people work hard for our earned money we expect to get the food and service we are paying for especially when every plate you get is going to be between...
