Starbucks — Restaurant in Cookeville

I came there the morning of 11/11. It was extremely busy and I understood there would be a wait. I went inside and order 2 iced coffee's. The cashier was very polite. Then I went to sit and wait for my drinks to be made. I sat there about 20 minutes while every name was called out except mine. The wait wasn't the issue.

My issue is that after waiting 20 minutes 2 women walked in and ordered 2 drinks. These 2 women were there maybe 2-5 minutes total and somehow they got their drinks within 2-5 minutes. That's when I stood up and spoke to the red headed woman making the drinks. I said "Its been 20 minutes and i need to check on my drinks. 2 women who were here less than 5 minutes just walked out with theirs and I'm checking on mine". I did not raise my voice or tell the woman to make my drinks right away. I just made it known how long I had been there waiting and saw other people there who werent waiting 20-30 minutes receiving theirs.

The red headed woman making the drinks rudely and aggressively said "I received the tickets as they come in. I don't control who's order I get & im doing the best i can, thanks." Basically acting as if how dare I inquire about my drinks. She basically treated me as if I was a karen because of inquiring about 2 drinks that took them 25 minutes to make. I did not respond to this woman after her hateful disrespectful response because what i felt like responding is that I wanted a refund because of being outright disrespected & disregarded in front of everyone.

Shortly after this woman snapped at me her and this dark haired male also making drinks said to me in a very sarcastic disrespectful way was "have a great day"!. Yeah they didn't mean that. What they actually meant was "screw you karen for calling us out on our service and we want you to know that you aren't welcomed here."

These drinks I bought wasn't cheap or free. I overpaid to basically get disrespected by your barista's. They have no right to speak to customers the way they do. Covid and every other thing is used to excuse disrespectful behavior & lousy customer service.

I understand it was busy but regardless if you cannot speak to customers respectfully then it's time to find another job. The manager should be aware how their customers are being treated.

Usually I never even leave reviews regardless if service is bad. But this really rubbed me the wrong way. I won't be coming...

My husband and I went to Starbucks on Willow Avenue in Cookeville about 20 minutes ago. I work at the hospital here and go to this location several times a week. We have always had professional, friendly service until tonight. We ordered a Venti and a Grande drink, and a pup cup. We were served a grande for both drinks, and no pup cup. My husband said politely that one of the drinks should have been a venti instead of a grande. The girl at the drive thru with blonde hair and braids said “I’m pretty sure you ordered a grande, but I’ll go ahead and make it again. She slammed the window. When she returned with the correct drink, she never said “ thank you” or anything. Slammed the window again, turned around and got on her cell phone. We called the store and told the manager that night. He made excuses for the employee, and did nothing. We moved to this small town from Nashville recently. We were looking for small town values and courtesy. We found that more in Nashville. Bottom line.. sick and tired of poor service, and an attitude from employees. Cookeville has a 7 Brew, and we are getting a Dutch Bros. I’ll take my business there...

I visited this location on 9/10/2022 a little after 9am. The store was clean and well-organized, lots of well stocked merch. I was actually stopping in for a reusable cup, and was helped by a very kind and gracious employee named Donna!

Donna was very welcoming, and took the time to explain how the Starbucks rewards app worked (and could be used to redeem points and get free merch in the future). She never got pushy or rushed, even though I asked a lot of questions :) and I didn't feel pressured to sign up right away.

The beverage I got in my new reusable cup was a Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato - and the barista did a great job! The drink was sweet and refreshing, and the perfect twist for a seasonal alternative to the PSL.

Overall, I highly recommend this location for delicious drinks with fast/friendly service and I will definitely be back on my next trip thanks to Donna's excellent...
