Broadway Pizza — Restaurant in Coon Rapids

I can’t speak to the pizza. I gave one star for the experience… one was the lowest I could give. I am someone who writes positive reviews by far more often than negative.

We decided to get Broadway pizza to celebrate my aunt’s 80th bday since the hotel was right across the street. I’d screenshot a coupon for a discount on your first online order. I went an hour early to make sure things were timed just right as the elderly and young don’t fare well if their schedules are off.

I was told to download the app. It simply would not load nor send a code so I could order. Several hostess’s tried to help me, one of the staff commented that the app had problems. I asked if they would honor the coupon since it was defective. The hostess went to ask someone in the kitchen. The manager or lead person finally came to say I should come back because it might take the app a day or so after being downloaded until it would work (what?! and what?!). I explained the party was happening at that moment and asked if she was saying no to honoring their defective app’s coupon? Yes she was.

We had to get pizza elsewhere and this delayed everything another hour.

For a place that has 2.5 stars on yelp this was a poor business decision. It was not my fault but theirs. Instead of everyone at our party enjoying Broadway pizza, the manager’s poor decision became the topic of discussion. Staff at the hotel and others walking through the lobby of the hotel overheard and also joined the conversation. Negative experiences are very powerful.

Young hosts and bartender were all very unfriendly. Ordered drinks and asked for menus and nobody returned to check on us or take our food order for 30 minutes. Eventually, we got up to find any employee to say we were ready to order and they told us that we weren't in their section and pointed towards the bartender and said to ask them for help. She was somewhat busy but there were several employees nearby that were just standing around. Customer service was clearly not a concern today. I order Broadway for delivery and spend a lot of money as I buy lunch once a month for my coworkers and Broadway is always a crowd pleaser -its absolutely delicious. However, the service my friends and I received today has made me decide that delivery will be the only way I will give them my business in the future. We still left the bartender a generous tip even after the service was borderline rude. We felt unwanted almost, or like we were being a problem because we wanted to order food. People have bad days and it's understandable, but we were very disappointed that we came in with money to spend and we we left feeling confused and still hungry. Great food. Great staff. Our waitress Crystal is second to none. Crystal is always on top of things plus always with a smile. I am due Crystal is being utilized for training in New staff as she is the bar by which others should be judged. Thank you for everything you do Crystal.

Where do I begin with all the awesome employees and staff they have it at this particular Broadway Pizza. Nariah second to none. Alexis I was such a big beautiful smile. Jenna simply loves the environment and the people and customers. They always make you feel so very welcome. And a bunch of them keep the atmosphere light and upbeat always a great time. If you can manage to get them when they are all working it is like a party.

Let us not forget the happiest bartender on the planet Erica.

The entire staffing crew up here is second to none. One person in particular that I would like to recognize is a young girl by the name of Nariah. She is the standard by law which all others are judged. Always very pleasant personality extremely friendly very very knowledgeable on her job. Thank you for everything you do for us Nariah..
