Osaka Sushi & Hibachi — Restaurant in Coon Rapids

My boyfriend and I ordered food for pick up on 12/15 and picked up at about 7pm when they said the order would be ready. We frequent this location as it is close and never had a bad experience, but this is our first time taking it to go, BIG MISTAKE! The food was cold, the seafood had a hair in my boyfriends meal, and they gave us all white rice vs the fried as we had ordered and even ordered an extra. I called to complain and the woman who claimed to be the manager named Cecilia in which she said that I needed to come back in for a refund because it was ordered online they cannot do it without the card. Kids were in bed and it was too late in the evening for us to go back out. She just kept repeating my order to me. I know what I ordered, it was wrong and I'm just asking for it to be fixed and refunded as the food wasn't eaten after the hair was found and we don't eat plain white rice. She said send an email online and someone will maybe get back to me, When I went into the restaurant the next evening after work to talk to the GM Mike whom she had eventually told me to talk to the night before, (after she refused to give me his name numerous times) she told me I was wasting my time and to leave and that she would not refund or replace anything. She was beyond rude, and has horrible people skills let alone management skills. She told me that unless I bring in the old food from the garbage that we threw out, there was nothing that they will do for me and told me again to leave and that I was wasting my time. My 7 year old daughter even said she was so rude. I am beyond disappointed in the management, the way they handle their mistakes, and speak to people at this establishment, and will be going to the other location from now on. I have never been scammed harder by a restaurant in my life. We went out of our way to go to this location due a Groupon that they were offering. I followed all the instructions, called ahead for a reservation and when I got there, we proceeded to wait for 30 minutes. After being seated, we were immediately asked if we had any gift card or Groupon this evening which I found strange to ask at the beginning of the meal. Regardless, we answered truthfully and because we went with 2 other friends who bought their own Groupon, they said they wouldn't honor both Groupons which made absolutely no sense. They then proceeded to give us the smallest servings of hibachi I have ever seen. It was noticeably obvious because the other half of our table was not using any type of gift card and their plates were completely filled. They actively skimped us in front of our very eyes. My party, being average eaters, left with not a grain of rice left on our plate while the other half of the table had a complete second meal to-go. Most unethical restaurant l've ever been to. They not only refused to honor my gift card but also skimped me on food for even attempting to use the gift card I purchased. I don't wish this experience on anyone else so save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else...

My family and I were fasting for Ramadan and needed to eat right at 9. We had 8:30 reservations and ordered right when we sat down. After trying to explain to the server about 4 different times that we needed to eat right at 9 as we’ve been fasting all day. He had an attitude the entire time and at first thought we had to eat and leave before 9. After explaining again, he misunderstood again and thought we didn’t want the cook to come out until 9. Misunderstanding is totally fine, but we tried on numerous occasions to explain but he didn’t want to listen. He had an attitude the entire time and was always rushed. We finally decided to leave at 8:55 as the chef had yet to come out. On our way out he started yelling and was waiving his hands in the air saying “I CANT WITH YOU GUYS”. we’ve been to numerous restaurants during Ramadan and explained to the server what time we needed the food out, and they’ve always been extremely respectful and prompt. I will never be visiting this Osaka ever again. And I wouldn’t recommend anyone else...
