Just out here roaming. Decided to turn into this plaza. Saw a few places, this being one. I'm a "reviews guy."
I park and begin to look up reviews on the places I was interested in. Huey's had 5 🌟 s. Hear me out. I do reviews. Writing them and checking/relying on them. 5 🌟s isn't just common.
I check the review comments. (I always go to "newest." The comments are consistent with the 5 stars. I checked the pictures. Looking for presentation, cleanliness, atmosphere, etc. Any tell tells I can see. I see lemon pepper chicken tenders. 🤤 I'm sold.
I go over the menu and other things, and then I'm headed inside. (The option to order online is right there, which I usually do, but I wanted to go in.)
Atmosphere 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Cleanliness 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Service & friendliness 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Strawberry lemonade 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (I never order beverages from restaurants. I also don't eat much fast food. Only Chic Fil A) Anything you can think of 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 so far.
At this point, I'm wondering if I'm being trolled. I ordered, and the dude is asking me what I'd like for my 3rd side. 3RD? Man, I already got a lot of food for $15.00. & You're saying there's more.
Now I'm eating! 🍽🥤🤔
🤔 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Yes. 10 STARS. I can't remember any other restaurant that actually & literally lives up to its own marketing hype. "The filet mignon of chicken" indeed. Tasted the top 3% as soon as took a bite.
I don't even know if this place is real, but I know I never want to eat chicken anywhere else again.
If that's not enough, it was a pleasure to see young, self respecting, mature & responsible African Americans running the place. That was such a blessing in contrast to how our children are usually portrayed. Gonna be praying for them. And I get a free cookie because of course I signed up for the news letter.
I'm sorry, yall. I tried to finish my 5 lemon pepper tenders with sweet heat dipping sauce, fresh cut chips, fries, AND Texas toast for sides. I got 79% there. It's just too much delicious food. I have a late night snack, Lord willing.
Thanks, Hueys. You guys are one of them ones! (As I refill my "skrawberry"...
Read moreSo the chicken tenders were good quality. They were hot and juicy. The fries were nicely seasoned and crispy. The Texas toast was also delicious. The only issue I had was the sauce I had my chicken tenders tossed in, which was the garlic Parmesan. If you decide you want to try this sauce, I’d recommend getting it on the side. My chicken tenders were very salty and it was to the point where I wasn’t able to finish them. I don’t know if they season the sauce and the chicken, but you can just taste it. I just know that Parmesan cheese is already salty, and adding it with the seasoning can just make it overboard. Maybe it was just today and others had it differently, but I do recommend trying it with the sauce in the side rather than tossed. My friends however had delicious meals with the buffalo sauce. I would like to try again, but most likely a different...
Read moreLook everyone has fried/ breaded Chicken Tenders but not everyone has them GRILLED and when I say delicious, that's still an understatement. Season to perfection, grilled strips dip in the Sweat Heat😋.. the service was timely and the employees at this Cooper City location were friendly. The service was so good on the day before that I returned back the following day, although it was with a different group of people, it was the same positive output. I'd like to also point out the Team Lead Zed who I watched over seeing the front end of the service display great professionalism. Great service overall and I hope this will be the norm of business. I'm definitely coming back and referring...
