I’ve had many decent experiences here so I have to give a few stars for those experiences.
I’ve ordered on the app at this location multiple times for my family. The only complaint I’ve ever had is maybe not getting straws for my drinks and not realizing until I got home. Everything else has been pretty great…
Until today.
I will admit, I was having a rough day to begin with and that’s not on them at all. But everything I’m about to say is. Today, mobile ordering was down. I get it. Sometimes tech has issues. But my family really wanted Wendy’s so I figured it would be fine to just go order there.
I was ordering for five people so didn’t want to complicate it by going through the drive-thru and doing the order through a box. I decided to go in.
No one else was in this store so I walked up to the counter. I was told by someone that they’d be right with me. 30 seconds later, a guy walks up and leans on the counter.
I started to order and could tell that every item I added was irritating this guy. I ordered two of the same combo. And then I ordered two of the same meal deals. The only difference in the meal deals was the drink.
I then tried to order a few of the new frosty fusions because we had our niece over and she was craving an Oreo ice cream. I ordered the Oreo frosty and as he was about to put it in the system, he said “sorry, we’re out of Oreos.”
I said that was fine and decided to go with two pop-tart frostys instead. And then I ordered two caramel crunch frosties. The guy taking the order was looking down playing with his finger in the counter so I wasn’t sure if he heard what I was saying. It is OBVIOUS that these people do NOT want to make these frosties. Not the first time I’ve experienced this.
It’s fine. At this point, I was as done with this encounter as the guy taking my order was. And I could tell he was BIG time done. I paid and waited for my receipt so I could at least see what I did order and he took it quickly and walked away.
I thought that was really strange. But just shrugged it off. As I went to go fill my drinks, I heard him loudly say “We got a big a** order coming. Just letting y’all know!” I was surprised he said that. And so loudly like he wanted me to know how inconvenient I was.
Decided I was probably overreacting (because of my already really bad day) and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. A few minutes later, he walked around the corner and said loudly again “Oh, y’all already got that big a** order?”
At that point, it was almost clear to me that this was said to make me feel bad for even being there. And congratulations to him, because it worked.
As if that wasn’t enough, he put the bagged food on the counter and as I walked up, he very irritatingly said to a coworker “Can one of y’all make these little frosty fusion whatever things?”
I finally got my order and asked for a cup holder and he gave me one. Sure enough, only two frosties. I didn’t care. I was ready to get out of there. Just such an unpleasant experience.
And when I got home, one of the meal deals was incorrect and our “Large” fries probably had just as many fries in their containers as the two small fries that we ordered.
I have no idea if I paid for four frosties. I have no idea what this guys name is. All of that information is on the receipt that he collected. So all I have is this story. I won’t be ordering from this location again.
Honestly, maybe Wendy’s should just remove the Frosty Fusions. The two times I’ve ordered them, I thought the person taking the order was going to quit...
Read moreEating in seems to be getting discouraged despite that barely anyone does that here. I like eating in so I can drink a second refill. Contrary to all other restaurant chains you are not allowed to get a refill on a drink at this restaurant location. It is stated that way if you ask.
I dont know if they will allow you a cup of free water or if they force you to buy bottled so be forwarned. I'm surprised with the few eat in customers they have that it even makes a difference.
The lobby was kept at 80 degrees or warmer. The location is likely struggling so they are taking desperate measures to keep it afloat. The food is typical of any other Wendy's except their chili, now that I've eaten it twice, I can say it barely contains any meat compared to a couple years ago. I don't know if that's typical of all locations but it's probably on the brink of being taken off the menu.
I eat here because I feel bad that it might close but then I walk away feeling that I'm part of the problem to them based on my experiences. My nondemanding expectations in the world of fast food are...
Read moreI went to this locationd drive thru line last week and the most rude, unprofessional child like person says "What's Good!" through the speaker! I looked at the speaker in disbelief. I asked him "Are you FOR REAL?!" And he screams "Naw, I'm for play play!"
I really couldn't believe that Wendy's would have these kinds of people working for them. I asked to speak with a a manager and he told me that he was a manager. Well needless to say I knew I wasn't going to order anything from that establishment if they had unstable employees like him preparing the food. I drove to the Wendy's in Los Colinas. I don't think I will be visiting that location in Coppell ever again. You guys really need to pay attention to...
