On one hand, the restaurant has finally upgraded and placed the entire menu online and allowed online ordering, that's awesome! My wife placed an order online and I immediately received order confirmation on my phone (I was doing the pickup).
I was provided an expected pickup time and arrived within 5 minutes of the stated time, only to be met with bewilderment from the woman working the cash register. I was asked which phone number the order was associated with and I wasn't sure if my wife had used the house phone or her cell phone so I provided each along with my cell phone number and all struck out. I then read the order number that was included with the order confirmation email and that seemed to help . . . somewhat.
At this point the cashier began yelling to someone in the kitchen area about "receiving an order" but not telling her. I don't know how online orders are SUPPOSED to flow through the restaurant, I only know that they had not even started on my order and we were now at least 10 minutes past the stated pickup time.
There were several other yelling exchanges between the cashier and the kitchen staff, (or perhaps a certain member of the kitchen staff, I can't recall). I do recall that the yelling was pretty much one-sided, from cashier to the kitchen, I don't recall hearing much of anything from the kitchen and definitely no yelling.
I heard the cashier pass my order back to the kitchen telling them to rush it. While a was waiting, a young woman who was apparently another employee, walked in and as she walked through the dining room the cashier made some remark about the person being two hours late.
When I was finally called up to pay for and pick up my meal, the cashier was STILL making negative digs about "someone" being two hours late. I asked specifically if that were a dig at someone, and the cashier pointed to the woman who had arrived late and she stated that that was actually her sister.
My apologies for this review focusing on the online ordering app and staff interactions, but that's what stood out from this visit. The food is top notch, and orders can be modified within reason if you communicate your requests while placing your order. If you use the online app, follow it up with a phone call, at least for the time being. Due to COVID, there is no indoor dining, although there are chairs that one can sit on while waiting to pickup their order. I didn't ask about the restroom, but my bet would be that it is off limits since there is no indoor dining at the moment. As always, the restaurant is clean, and there are plexiglas panes separating the cashier and the customers.
One final comment for whoever is running the cash register / interacting with customers, remember, you are representing the restaurant and a customer might be visiting for the first time, be sure to put your best foot forward. As for employees showing up late, or errors between the kitchen and cashier, keep that in-house by communicating in a low tone, there is no reason to advertise such...
Read moreNOT GOOD FOOD! The waitress was nice, but the food was horrible. The chicken and beef were the same texture, and neither of them felt like meat. They were soft and kinda rubbery. They didn't taste like chicken or beef, either. The curry seasoning was so...off. I can't even say what it was that was wrong with it, just that it was gross. The Mongolian triple delight SAUCE was good, but again...the meat. Just no. The hot and sour soup was not great, and the chips they brought with it were unbelievably stale. The wontons were decent, at best, but not the sauce brought with them. The spring rolls were frozen and reheated, I'm sure. The outside was crispy, the inside was mush. The rice balls we got to go were the only really good thing about the meal. I would not give even 1 star if I didn't have to. Would definitely not recommend. I have no idea how this place has a 4.4 rating. We literally left our entire meal there, except the rice balls. We paid...
Read moreI am saddened to share that this is the worse, Chinese restaurant that I have ever ordered from. I’ve never known of a restaurant to not put vegetables in Kung poa chicken.. The owner and the wife argued with me that it doesn’t get vegetables only king ops shrimp does. It would have been nice if the lady had said that to begin with. Not only did it not have any vegetables. It was as salty as salty could be. So I didn’t get dinner last night because it was so poorly made. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you ever have an issue with them, they will stand there and argue with you. They were very disrespectful. They also need to improve their English and communication skills. oops, I forgot to mention that it was just a bunch of sauce with chicken and a little bit of peanuts. I can actually count the peanuts. I would say they were about 20. Thank you...
