I am still a novice cross-stitcher and this shop BLEW me away! Not only are all the ladies super helpful and knowledgeable, but the shop itself is PHENOMENALLY WELL STOCKED of pretty much anything you could imagine needing for any type of stitchery!
There was so much packed into this shop that even though it's small in size, there was no way for it to be physically possible to sift through it all in one visit! Plenty for stitchers of any level to find something new to buy.
They're still asking for masking if you're unvaccinated, which is comforting. I was very happy to see they're still following guidelines for those who are unvaccinated.
The sheer amount and VARIETY of fabric and floss here was incredible! Like literally Michael's and Joanns are constantly missing tons of popular DMC floss colors and Nedlewerkes DELIVERED ALL OF THEM! Perfectly well stocked! Not a single number amiss! It was heaven! 🙌🏼 I was so happy! There's also TONS of patterns everywhere! Something for everyone at this shop. Every kind of pattern for any kind of season or occasion, they've got something worth your while for your next project!
I can't recommend this shop enough. If you need supplies, go to this shop. It's a bit of a drive from major cities, but ENTIRELY well worth it and you'll come away super satisfied with the quality of what you get, the price you paid for it, and the amount of stuff you can get in one go! Visit nedlewerkes- just...
Read moreI'm here for work and made the trek out today and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked in they treated me like a friend. They invited me to come to the table regardless of the craft I'm working on and offered judgment free encouragement. Then they recommended the frame shop nearby. All of this while knowing I'm from out of town.
It's a tight packed space as all small business specialty craft stores are, but it was organized, well lit, and stocked with a little of most needle works. Prices are comparable to purchasing online.
They also sell fabric by the yard. Theyll do the math to see what size fabric you need, add the border for framing, then serge the edges for you.
Side note. Went to another store in Austin proper that was very pretentious and did not make me feel welcome once they knew I didn't do their needle craft. 🙄 Nedlewerkes was further away but well...
Read moreI went to Nedlewerkes finally and I'm so glad! The store is not very large but it is jam packed with fabulous patterns, projects, flosses, fabric, and lots more. I had a very hard time just choosing two patterns instead of snatching up everything in the store!
The best part of it though had to be the people. Trixie was so friendly and helpful! There were also several ladies at the table chatting and working on projects who encouraged me to come in again sometime to join them. They took great care of my husband, offered him coffee and chatted while I browsed.
Overall it was a fantastic shopping experience! I'll certainly be going back and inviting my...
