Had plans to come here for weeks after a visit to O.G. fell a bit short. Based on how well the interior was put together, I anticipated much better than what was put before me. Waitress was Jessica. She was perfect. Couldn't ask for more or better.
The chicken Parmigiana I ordered is something I feel couldn't have been more wrong. Before I get to the chicken, I noticed how the red sauce seemed to just be 6 chunks of tomatoes.. unseasoned.. tastes like the can they came from. I mashed them up.. and proceeded to cut up my noodles.. while moving the noodles around I noticed what seemed to be a quarter of a cup of water on the plate. I folded and used a napkin under the corner of the plate to make all the water come to a corner away from the chicken in order to soak up some of all that water with some of the mediocre bread. Movin to the chicken, the damage was already done. My chicken.. which may have actually been WNBA basketball material.. was already soggy.. and after one cut through the leather, I realized that.. this chicken patty had spent most of its life frozen.. and now soggy.. I tried one bite... choked it down.. and decided to move back to the appetizer of fried shrimp.
I'll Definitely be going again, they have pizza. It's hard to mess up pizza. Guess...
Read moreThis place is nice enough. The staff was courteous but a bit overwhelmed with our large (12ppl) group. We were visiting from out of town and this was our only experience with dining in Copperas Cove. I can’t compare to other local dining spots, just my own experience with other Italian restaurants in other locations.
Lots of space/tables. I feel like you could dine in a fairly intimate way here if you requested that… so it might be nice for a romantic dinner. I’d say that the place felt like an average Italian restaurant.
I thought that the Wine list was good considering the size and general cultural vibe of the city. The waiter didn’t know anything about wine, but he was new, so we gave him a pass.
The real plus here is that the food is very tasty and the prices were shockingly inexpensive. Like, don’t expect Italian Buffet prices, but less expensive than an Olive Garden. All in all I’d say that the food was a similar quality to an old spaghetti factory or Olive Garden but probably 25% less money and sizable portions. My wife and I split an entree and a salad and there was food left over.
The focaccia-esque bread that they bring to the table was very greasy but in that delicious...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I were very excited to check this place out based on the great reviews. Should have listened to the negative ones, though. I'm an alfredo fanatic, been making my own for years. I ordered what I thought would be a small saucer of alfredo to dip my bread in...when it came, it was in a huge soup bowl full to the brim and the consistancy was thin as water and bland as can be. Tasted like heated heavy cream with no garlic, parm, salt, nothing. That made me dread the thought of my shrimp alfredo coming. The entire dish tasted like nothing but some kind of seafood sauce. Again, underseasoned and no such taste of any alfredo.
My boyfriend ordered a pizza with no better luck. Literally tasted like a Red Baron frozen pizza. Maybe we've just been too spoiled with Italian food elsewhere but this is probably one of the biggest restaurant let downs we've ever had.
The waiter made things insanely awkward after we told him we didn't care for it. Other reviews on here have said the same thing I am. He literally stood there in silence holding our food then said..."I don't know why you're complaining." Too loud and I could barely understand a word he was...
