This was my first- and likely last- time eating at a Jimmy Johns. I placed an online order at as my husband was driving myself and my 19 month old toddler home yesterday evening, intending to stop to pick it up on the way. We arrived at the store only a few minutes after placing the order, so I didn't expect the food to be ready yet, and was prepared to wait a few minutes for the 2 sandwiches I ordered. I waited inside while my husband and son stayed in the car, during which time I observed multiple patrons enter, place an order in store, wait briefly, get their food, and leave, all while I was still waiting on my 2 sandwiches. After 35 minutes from the time the order was placed, and after watching another set of patrons enter, order 2 sandwiches, and receive them before me, I decided to say something, especially since I had a toddler waiting in the car, getting fussier and more impatient by the minute. When I expressed my frustration at having to wait more than a half hour for an online order while other customers were able to grab and go shortly after ordering, the only response I received was an apology and an explanation that they were making my food at the same time as the last customers'. I pointed out that the last customers had just placed their order while mine had been placed well before, but they didn't have anything to say other than more apologies. There were at least 5 employees that I observed, one of which- a young lady- who seemed to mostly stand around on her phone, go to the bathroom, and play with a baby that another customer brought into the store. There was also a situation at one point where she did finally start to do some work, only to cause a big confusion over what sandwich she was serving and to what customer, causing the manager to make everyone stop and open all of the sandwiches they had so they could identify which was which. I could somewhat understand the long wait and the disorganization/confusion if they had been slammed; I've worked in food service before so I know how it can get, but this wasn't that. This seemed more like laziness, lack of any sense of urgency, and mismanagement. When we did finally receive our food, it was fine enough. They were the sandwiches we ordered and there wasn't anything wrong with them, but they weren't anything special. Certainly not worth the hassle and inconvenience of obtaining them. I don't think I'll be returning after this experience. I can go someplace like Subway and get the same mediocore sandwich for less money made right in front of...
Read moreI ordered two sandwiches and two large containers of ranch I only got one, on top of that the sandwiches were falling apart and the lettuce was limp and soggy. I tried to complain in an e mail and was sent a response by the owner or someone at the restaurant all they sent was a stock letter about how sorry they were never offered me a refund for anything, like it does not even matter to them. The total was almost 50$ for two SANDWICHES !! They sent me a promo or something for a few dollars I will never eat here again I don't care what they offer me this place will always be a no thanks for me, they are one of the only places I can get a lettuce wrapped sandwich so it's quite depressing for a GF person because I'm already restricted. Atmosphere is bleek right next to a rundown shopping plaza yeah great view....food was garbage and the service was lacking they were not busy and forgot a whole item that is not cheap and I live thirty minutes away so there was no going back for one sauce. Just throw the whole restaurant away seriously listen or don't listen but you will wish you would have after your overpriced sandwich 🙄 the reviews will tank this place just like everywhere else. Customers matter we bring you the money to run your store and when you treat them badly you will close down maybe not today but I've seen it happen time and time again keep it up and they will be gone like the jack in the box they shut down that was there before. Treat people like they matter simple as that 🤷♀️ oh...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. It took almost an HOUR to receive our order after placing it through the app. The initial plan was to use the drive thru window to pick it up, but after sitting in the drive thru for 20 minutes, decided to just go inside. The lobby was full of people waiting on sandwiches. Our order also included 2 sides of kickin’ ranch which was “out of stock” but chose not to say anything until we received our order after almost an hour. So when we asked for a credit for the ranch, everybody wanted to act clueless. I know they could’ve put a credit on my account because I used to be an assistant manager of a Jimmy John’s on fort hood, so did the other person who ordered with me, and we did it all the time when we messed up or were out of product. Also, my partner ordered a tuna sandwich and there was significantly more bread than tuna. Additionally, if kickin ranch is truly “out of stock,” make it UNAVAILABLE TO ORDER. Also, my partner ordered a pickle cut in half…see pic for a good laugh. Will not be back. What a clusterfuck. Bunch of smooth-brained kids working...
