I decided to try FoodEyez Caribbean Cuisine because of the reviews I saw online even though it was a bit of a drive for me, but I wanted to give it a shot. First and foremost, I must start off with saying the ambience to the place was beautiful. The two young ladies behind the counter were extremely nice and helpful when placing my order. Since this was my first time ordering here, I based my order off the pictures I saw online. I ordered the brown stew fish and was explicitly asked, “what side would I like. I was given the options of rice and peas, bammy, vegetables and etc. One of the reason I selected this restaurant was because of the vegetables that I saw on the pictures for the fish dishes, so of course I ordered vegetables. When my order was ready, I was allowed to look at my food before leaving. Imagine my surprise when all I saw was steam/ shredded cabbage with the brown stew fish. I was a little confused so I asked a girl, I thought I ordered vegetables. Her answer to me was you have to be more specific when ordering vegetables which doesn’t really make a lot of sense when the options WERE NOT steam vegetable vs stream/ shredded cabbage. When I inquire about getting steam vegetable instead of what was given to me, the young lady went into the kitchen and spoke to someone and returned informing me that I would have to pay an additional $2 dollars for the vegetable I initially ordered. This was a little absurd to say the least. However, after a long day at work and having already waited about 20minutes for my food, I just wanted the food I ordered so I ended up paying for it. Unfortunately, although this place looks amazing and service was good, the interaction between myself and who I assume is the chef who was relaying the message via the young lady at the front des, this left a horrible taste in my mouth. I think as a restaurant the menu should clearly indicate what is provided with the dish. I have never gone to a Caribbean restaurant and ordered vegetables and received shredded cabbage/ steamed cabbage. To assume as a first time customer that I would know ordering vegetable meant steam/shredded cabbage is presumptuous. I truly wish my experience was different. Looking back and I paid what I paid for brown stew fish and vegetables left a lot...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Foodeyez, and I can't stop raving about the incredible food and service.
Starting with the oxtails, they were tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection with a rich sauce that complemented the meat beautifully. The curry goat was equally impressive, with just the right amount of spice, making each bite a delightful experience. The beef soup was a comforting bowl of warmth, packed with hearty ingredients that made it a perfect starter or a meal on its own.
Now, let’s talk about my favorite: the jerk fry chicken. This dish was a standout! The chicken had a perfect crispy exterior with a smoky, spicy jerk flavor that was simply addictive. It was juicy on the inside, making it hard to resist going back for seconds.
Throughout the meal, our server Erisha was fantastic. She was incredibly patient and attentive, guiding us through the menu and offering great recommendations that truly enhanced our dining experience. Her warmth and knowledge made us feel right at home.
Overall, Foodeyez is a gem for anyone craving authentic flavors and exceptional service. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

Read moreMarch 12, 2025 - came back again. Ok this is a 5 star place. Nene and Britney provided service that was out of this world. They were friendly, warm and made this an even better experience. Wow. 5 stars all the way from 1 in 2023. This is how a business succeeds. They listen. Great work!
Feb 28, 2025 - gave this place another shot. It was excellent. Had the jerk pork and ordered the escovich fish ahead of time so it was fresh. The pork was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The fish was full of flavor, fresh and cooked right. So glad I came back.
2023 - This is your standard fare Jamacian restaurant in a sea of better options. The only saving grace was the ok service.
We had the oxtail, fried chicken and jerk chicken. The oxtail was average, as the flavors were muted. Think more southern oxtail than Caribbean oxtail. The fried chicken was in the same boat...average. The jerk chicken was a complete failure. Not only was it not grilled as stated in the menu, it was underseasoned, overcooked and mushy. I would guess that it was cooked in the oven earlier in the day and set in a warmer until the order was placed.
With so many other options nearby, this one...
