This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. We were the only table in there on a Sunday night at 7:30 PM, which should’ve been the first sign. The waiter was nice, but seemed clueless, as if this was his first time ever waiting tables. I asked questions about the menu that he didn’t have the answers for And had to go ask the chef which seemed like he also didn’t have the answers for. Mind you there was only three of us and the first thing we ordered was miso soup thinking it would be the first thing to touch the table. I was wrong. It never came out and I had to cancel it. Then our waiter was more concerned about getting the football game on the TVs as opposed to getting our food that we could clearly see was sitting and ready to go. I ordered two dishes and one never made it to the table. I asked about it, and he kept saying that it was working. During all of this people were coming in to get to-go food and they seemed more concerned with getting their food ready than ours.I confronted the waiter and asked, what the heck is going on here?! Everyone I was with was already done with their meals. I told him I didn’t even want it anymore and when he went in the back to tell the manager, one of them screamed “what the hell” and slammed a table. Talk about awkward! The manager never even came out to apologize or anything. This place has got to go. The food that we did have wasn’t very good and with everything that went on I advise you...
Read moreI normally never write bad reviews, but I’m hoping the owners see this as constructive criticism.
When we came in for lunch, the restaurant was empty. For some reason, the music playing was a mix of Travis Scott and other modern hip-hop artists. It felt really awkward in a restaurant setting, especially since some of the songs were very explicit.
After we ordered, I went to use the bathroom and found it dirty—there was hair all over the toilet and floor, watermarks on the door and mirror, and paper on the side of the sink. When I got back to my seat, I started noticing other things: the seats were dirty, the floor was unclean, and even our table was messy underneath the coasters. We had already ordered at that point, but if I had seen this beforehand, I would have walked out.
The edamame came out tasting frozen and bland. Our waitress forgot our water, so I had to remind her when the sushi arrived. Mistakes happen, but considering there was only one other table in the entire restaurant, the service felt inattentive. They have the server taking care of to-go orders and customers at the same time. These should be two separate positions in a restaurant. Customers dining in need full attention from an employee. The sushi itself was just okay. Oddly, some rolls were so spicy that my wife couldn’t eat them. We did not order any spicy sushi rolls.
Overall, it was a strange and disappointing dining experience. Unfortunately, we won’t be...
Read moreFirst time at this Sushi sake since we just moved to the neighborhood. I have to say, it honestly was not a great experience. We walked in and only saw one server taking the order of a table and hung around for a bit until a second waiter came from the kitchen to greet us. We got sat down and after 10 mins they finally approached us to take our order, mind you there were only 6 tables including ours. I feel one of the servers was new and training and the second one was maybe new too. I think they are spread thin for a Saturday night. They had to make their own drinks, greet guests, take orders, run the orders and clean the tables. I received all of my order which were two rolls and appetizer before my husband ever received his entree of fried rice. So unfortunately, it was overall not a great experience. The server was very nice however the structure of staff and organization needs improvement or they will lose customers (we saw two people walk out because they were tired of waiting). As far as the food, the spicy tuna roll had a lot of fat on the tuna so I could not eat it. I recommend you visit but have patience with the staff. And I recommend the next time they monitor the music they play, it was...
