I have been coming to this restaurant since it’s opening, and have continually watched the decline of staff care, customer service, and portion sizes. Today something in me just called it quits. I have ordered numerous times off of Uber and in person. Today I walked in to order my usual with a little extra. As I approached the counter I’m met with my usual halfhearted greeting by the same girl who usually works the front. I order my usual and since they no longer have the Sweet fire chick I ask if I can sample their new bourbon chicken. Since I don’t wanna buy something if I don’t like it. She say no they don’t do sample anymore and then proceededs to ask me “what I want”. I order a bigger plate:1/2greens 1/2chow, the burbon chicken, orange chicken, and teriyaki. She starts her thing and I also tell her that I’d like a large honey walnut shrimp. It’s empty and I go to ask her how long it’ll take she then ignores me and starts say she needs more shrimp & orange chicken. Then passes my food along to the next counter.
As I’m waiting I notice the boy in the back by the woks and fryers wearing a Black undershirt popping food into his mouth eating, now I have worked in the food industry for YEARS. I know damn well 1:gloves are optional, he chose not to wear any(not that big a deal) but it’s that fact that he decided to start munching on whatever he was eating while handling food!!!! He knowingly did that and chose NOT to then go and wash his hands after eating. I was beyond disgusted at the lack of sanitary precautions that boy was taking. I was just glad my food was finished before I saw that. As I was waiting for the rest of my food to be packed one girl approached my back as asked if I was all set. Now I will admit my blood sugar was low so I may have been a bit rude to her and snapped a bit, but also the bag had empty boxes and they’re labeled. So like common sense????hello???? Lastly the manager on duty, while there is a line that was wrapping around the tables is sitting in the dining room eating her meal not caring. I have been in manager positions before and would never leave my team like that. In conclusion I will not be eating there again, nor ordering from Uber again. Especially when my honey walnut shrimp cost me $17 and only came 2/3rds full. I hope this place improves or closes. If you want Chinese food just go somewhere else don’t go here. Read moreFood was beyond terrible along with the customer service. I ordered online for delivery and then called just to verify that I had input my address correctly on the website for the driver… the lady on the phone immediately interrupts me to say that “they don’t do delivery and that I can only order delivery through door dash or Uber eats”… so I said well why is there an option for delivery on your website then? And she said I don’t know but you’re going to have to pick it up or your food will just sit here all night because no one is going to deliver it to you or I will just go ahead and cancel it for you. When I had asked her what would have happened if I hadn’t of called them about my address, would my food had just sat there all night? And her response was literally… “yep.” She proceeded to tell me she was canceling it but because I got annoyed and said no she said she would check with someone to see what to do. As I was waiting I realized their website chooses a driver from one of the third party apps to deliver the food but someone else had picked up the phone and told me that she was just confused about my question.. which made absolutely no sense whatsoever considering all I was asking for her to do was to check the order and make sure that I entered my address in correctly for the driver because it showed up weird in the confirmation email that was sent to me. I then wanted to verify with the new girl on the phone that there wouldn’t be any mushrooms in my order and she said I don’t understand, you didn’t order anything that has mushrooms in it so why would there be. So then I had to explain to her how on the website it says for the veggie spring rolls depending the on the location sometimes they will switch out the cabbage for mushrooms or something and she seemed totally confused by that and made me seem like I was an idiot for asking that. After having to deal with all of that nonsense, when I actually got my food it was absolutely awful. I’ve had Panda Express in the past and I never remembered it being this bad. The noodles tasted like cardboard and had a terrible texture to it and the orange chicken was just not as good as I expected it to be. Needless to say I will no longer order from Panda Express. The food quality along with their customer service is all around extremely unsatisfying and...
Read moreTo start, I love Panda Express, it's delicious, and I never have problems when going just for myself. I highly recommend the place to anyone looking for a nice lunch. Unfortunately, this is still a 1 star review, because the catering for this restaurant is easily the worst I've ever experienced.
As background, I take care of putting together several company events each year, usually 8-12, that all require catering. I've used many different restaurants, and have generally had fine experiences. I place my order, I get my order, plain and simple. We have used this particular Panda Express twice for catering, and both times resulted in the food arriving late.
The first time I placed an order for delivery, as this was a reasonably priced option on their online order form. Delivery time came, and no one showed up. I gave them 10 minutes, still no one, so I called ask asked where they were. They informed me that they didn't deliver, even though that's what I paid for online. Had to wait another 20 minutes for an employee to bring it to me. This second time, I decided to play it safe and place the order for pick up. I put in the order several hours in advance, and arrived 5 minutes early. I let them know I was there to pick up the catering order, and the girl behind the counter had no idea what I was talking about. I showed her my email receipt, and apparently this is the first time anyone in that store had heard about this order. So I proceeded to sit there and wait for 25 minutes while they had to get my entire catering order ready, making me late in returning to the event that I had ordered the catering for. The manager apologized, but offered nothing, not even a free drink for my wasted time.
The food was delicious, make no mistake, but they are completely unreliable for catering, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby that have never let me down, so go elsewhere for your...
