Mi Toro — Restaurant in Corinth

Dude, I don't know what happened. I've been here 1000+ times, and this was the first time it was just terrible. Awful.

The red salsa tasted like water, the cheese dip was cold runny and clumpy. My tomatilla salsa was also very watery, and the chips were thin and brittle.

The chips and dips are admittedly my favorite part of a Tex-Mex meal, and all of it was just sad this time. What happened?

My entree of nachos was cooked okay but was ruined by clumpy cheese and thin chips. Way too much bell pepper too.

Again, this particular Mi Toro is literally my favorite restaurant in town. It's an institution! I ate here as an infant! But this time they really messed my meal up and the waitress disappeared. I had the same waitress there one month ago and the food was wonderful, but dang... not this time.

I paid without tipping and left, which hurt me to do because I love this place. I guess try one of the other 3 Mexican places in town :(

I normally don’t write reviews for any place but I think this definitely needs to be mentioned… Went here tonight, ordered a burger, came out with mold all over the bottom of the bun so I sent it back to the kitchen, received a new one but it was very obvious they gave me the same French fries from my original plate as they were a bit cold, and my burger had ranch all over the bottom bun as I had ranch on the original plate which means they cross-contaminated my food… I expected it to be fine and ate half of it after inspecting it and not finding much at that moment. Went home with my leftovers as I didn’t eat the entire burger and became violently sick and decided to check my left overs. Found mold in the bun of my burger AGAIN. The waiter we had was also very unkind to me and my fiancé and gave us lots of attitude. Definitely will not be coming...

So...I take my water bottle in to restaurants. I love lemon! And the lemons in my water glass get added to my bottle. And...I also put basil in my water. Two friendly waiters met me at the door demanding to know WHAT was in my bottle?! 🐠 🍀🌿

But they did make sure I got more lemon with my water.

The service was excellent! Server was friendly & helpful, both in Spanish & English.

The food...Street Tacos, oh Street Tacos! The Mi Toro chain in MS is where I learned to love them. I've since had them in many places but Mi Toro excels them all. Meat seasoning & cooking are superb, Tortillas are slightly toasty & excellent. And the salsa served with them was picosa y rica! Spicy & delicious! Muy muy sabrosa!

Atmosphere is homey & cozy. Meaning small & slightly squished in. But you can relax...
