Way2Baked — Restaurant in Cornelia

I recently visited Way2Baked, and while there were some nice aspects, I felt the food could use some improvements. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the visit pleasant. They also bring your food to your table when they call your ticket number, which was nice.

The space itself is smaller, but they made good use of the space with plenty of tables and a lot of neat wall art, and they have a great selection of desserts and donuts, which I definitely plan to come back and try. However, the food I ordered fell a bit short of expectations.

The BLT didn’t have any mayo, the bread looked toasted but it was still very soft, the lettuce was fine, but the tomatoes were a very squishy, and the bacon wasn’t crisp so it could probably stand to be cooked a bit longer, so it lacked that satisfying crispy BLT bite. The burger was the macdaddy which has mac and cheese and BBQ sauce and bacon. The burger was okay, but without the BBQ sauce, it lacked flavor. While the bread was great and the BBQ sauce added some depth, the patty and mac and cheese were underseasoned and didn’t really stand out, I was dissapointed because it looked so good!!

This place has a lot of potential, and I see them becoming a go-to spot with a few tweaks to the food because their menu is fun with lots of options AND their desserts and donuts look so good!! I’m looking forward to coming back and trying...

Way2Baked is Way2Great!

I’ve heard and read rave reviews about this restaurant and it did not disappoint! I can see why Cornelia voted Way2Baked as best lunch!

While briefly waiting in line in this packed out restaurant I was entertained by all the art, posters, and decor on the walls. Noting some of my favorite bands and artists plastered all over the walls. I felt like I was back in my childhood room as a teenager! Loved it!

I didn’t have to wait very long for my order to be brought to my table and once I received it I immediately dug into the bacon chicken ranch loaded potato! There was so much going on with this! Such a great concept that was immensely flavorful! The portion size was massive so I couldn’t finish it. A sense of sadness overwhelmed me as I tossed the remaining remnants into the trash.

All staff was immensely helpful and a joy to be around and it provided a great atmosphere. Typically I can always find something to critique on…. but a little over an hour has passed since dining in and not one single thing comes to mind.

I ordered to go and stood for an hour before I received my food. The disorganization of this restaurant is astounding. It took 45 minutes before anyone even checked in with me on my order. I do not care how good food is, you can't treat customers like this especially after they spend $50. My order was incomplete as well. I did not receive the side I paid extra for. I will never return due to this experience. Edit- after eating only half of the potato and half of the burger, this was not worth my time or money.
