I was exceptionally disappointed in my recent experience at CRAFTY BURG'R. I ordered a meal for myself and my pregnant wife as carry out. We ordered the Big Farm Burger and the Mac n Cheese Burger with fries and extra sides of mac and cheese. The time quoted was 15 minutes - I arrived 12 minutes after placing the order. I brought the food to the local game store where we were going to eat (2 minutes at most away) to discover the most awful compilation of food I have seen in a long, long time.
The fries were cold and flat. The burger meat was dry. The mac and cheese looked like it had been caked on and was flakey. My hungry, pregnant wife attempted to eat it only to find that it was completely inedible. My children, avid lovers of mac n cheese, would not eat it. They even threw the fries, container and all, into the trash.
I called the establishment and spoke to Jimmy, the bartender who had given me the food order. He offered to remake the order - which was absolutely not going to happen after attempting to eat the travesty they gave us. He then said we could get a refund of our order the next day (today) from the GM. At that point, I was ready to just get a refund and let it go as a bad deal. I called today to speak to the GM named JL, since I hadn't received a call, who then told me they would not refund the order. She again offered a gift card and to remake the food, but that was not an option for me after the exceptionally poor experience with the food. She outright refused a refund that was promised to me by a member of her staff.
I refused the gift card, only wanting my money back, which I couldn't get. This is a prime example of abysmal customer service and I encourage anyone who eats here to dine in - at least that way they will have to look you in the eye and say "no" to a refund when they give...
Read moreRecently came to Crafty burger with a friend for lunch and we each ordered something. There is a sushi restaurant next door and because I had ate burgers the night before I felt like ordering some sushi. I was told by the quote on quote general manager who has no customer service experience and dreaded piglocks, I wasn’t allowed to eat my sushi on their premises even though I had ordered something and my friend had ordered her lunch. This quote on quote general manager did not introduce herself but was taking our orders was very rude. I simply asked a few questions and she replied in an unfriendly manner and was not accommodating whatsoever. I am very disappointed with my first time at Crafty Burger. I really don’t know if I will ever go back to the Cornelius location or recommend to anyone EVER!!! I was really looking 👀 forward to having a nice meal with my friend and it just turned into us having to wait to box up everything as it came out paying right away and leaving so we could look for somewhere else to sit and eat our food. Sooooooo...
Read moreAs a family we have eaten at this restaurant multiple times over the years. We appreciate the menu selection and affordable kids meal. Tonight, unfortunately, all our meals came out cold. My sandwich included bbq sauce but was applied lightly. I asked for another side of sauce but was never informed I would be charged for the additional side of sauce-which was included on my sandwich to start. The waitress was fine throughout the meal, until the end when I address my concern with not being informed of the up-charge for the sauce. Upon informing her of my concern, she was spotted walking away rolling her eyes at me. It should be noted that we were not a difficult table at any point. Other than requesting sauce, we asked nothing above and beyond of our waitress. We are not so sure that we will be back after tonight’s meal.
Edited in response to the comment from the owner: we ate in Cornelius and no manager was visible to us. The incident with the waitress...
