This review is going to cover our last 3 take out visits over the last 6-8 weeks. 1st visit some items in the order were wrong. We dine in on occasion also so we know the food is typically good. We decided to do take out again about 2 weeks ago. I voiced my concerns to the young girl taking my order. She didn’t seem to really give a rats ass about my concerns. I ordered 3 dinners. A meatloaf dinner, and 2 salads. She said she would package the salad items separately to make sure it was all there after our mix up a few weeks prior. I requested extra croutons. My salad had 4 extra croutons in a container. I asked for more. She put them in the bag and off I went. When I got home and opened up the meals, one of the salads was missing the chicken, and the “extra” croutons that got put in the bag was actually a container of crumbs, not 1 crouton. I called the restaurant just to let the manager know the issue. Not a huge deal, I can eat the salad without the croutons. I spoke with Amanda and she apologized as I explained my frustrations with our last few take out visits. She did send 2 $10 gift cards in the mail, which I told her was unnecessary. We decided tonight, we would give it another try. Forgot the gift cards but it’s ok, thought I’d probably use them at another time. Ordered 5 dinners tonight. Spoke with Amanda ahead of them preparing my order. One of the servers walked out with my bag. I wasn’t leaving until I checked it. I was missing a meal. Amanda came back out and asked where the other bag was, well I certainly did not know! She went to the back and found it. It was actually missing a meal and a side salad. Amanda made sure everything was in the bag and off I went. When I got home and we all sat down to eat dinner, my husbands salad was without dressing. None on the salad and none in the bag. He said for him, the dressing makes the whole salad. He drove back around 8:15pm to get dressing. They were closed. Someone was there and apologized but said there was nothing she could do as they were now closed for the night. Husband was PISSED. Told me he will NEVER eat there again. We’ve been customers for many years...
Read moreOur experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to our incredible server, Ava. She was an absolute delight—polite, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind.
Visiting from Canada, we sought out a must-visit dining spot and were thrilled to discover this gem. Ava went above and beyond, not only guiding us through the menu but also sharing insights into the region’s famous dishes, local attractions, and even hidden culinary treasures. Her enthusiasm and warmth made us feel truly welcome, never once like an inconvenience. In fact, she even offered her personal contact in case we had any follow-up questions about the area—a gesture that spoke volumes about her dedication to hospitality.
Her expertise with the menu was evident, and her recommendations did not disappoint. My wife and I both ordered the salmon, accompanied by a variety of sides—fries, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and gravy—to experience a bit of everything.
The salmon was outstanding, earning a solid 8/10 for its flavor and preparation. The French fries were perfectly crisp and well-seasoned, while the asparagus was cooked to perfection, though a touch more butter would have elevated it further. The Brussels sprouts were incredibly flavorful, albeit in a slightly smaller portion than expected. The mashed potatoes, while tasty, could have been served a bit warmer. We also sampled the sweet tea, which was a delightful addition to our meal.
Despite these minor details, the overall experience was phenomenal. From the impeccable service to the thoughtfully prepared meal, everything exceeded our expectations. We left not only satisfied but also grateful for such a memorable dining experience.
Highly recommend—especially if you have the pleasure of being...
Read moreEaten at fresh chef before in Denver. We knew we loved the shrimp and grits. Planned to come here for Mother’s Day. Each ordered the shrimp and grits. I ordered the breakfast potatoes for brunch and he ordered a side of the mushrooms (which he had before and LOVED) Shrimp and grits: shrimp was really overcooked, none of the bell peppers were cooked in mine but was in his. Maybe that is how they come but some consistency issues. But the flavor was really good. And very large portions Mushrooms: the reduction was not reduced. It was a soup. But the flavor was still very good. Breakfast potatoes: a simple dish that is a classic favorite. The most disappointing. No flavor at all. Too much oil in the potatoes and no seasoning whatsoever. Even ketchup couldn’t save them. The onions were cooked well but unless you ate the onion you couldn’t taste them with the potatoes.
Service was good. You don’t have a specific waiter which is a little confusing. We had three people ask about the same coke refill we needed but only after he sat with an empty glass for a good while. They also provided me with a gluten free menu which was awesome.
Atmosphere is great! Definitely 5 stars on that but unfortunately the food supersedes any thing else so we were left with a “meh”
Maybe we will try it again sometime and see. I will then...
