I enjoy the selection at this store, as it is very similar to HomeGoods, but there is a larger selection of many items such as lighting, furniture, rugs, and kitchenwares. I am giving this location a poor rating due to the customer service I experienced today. I noticed many items throughout the store did not have price tags on them, including one item I wished to purchase. The clerk who performed the price check for me based her price on the original retailerâs price, which she showed me on her phone. This made no sense to me, as I donât see how employees are permitted to create their own prices on items based on online searches. The price that the clerk came up with was more than a similar but larger version of the same item I saw in the store. I said I did not want it because of this reason, and her subsequent behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional. She went back and forth saying I can still get the larger item, which I did not want, and then spoke to the cashier helping me and said âwas that a no?â rather than speaking directly to me.    Read moreINCONSIDERATE MANAGERS. I normally have a good experience here but not today 3/19. They are resetting the entire store so it is nearly unshoppable. Can't move tour cart or get down any aisles. A group of âmanager-yâ people were gathered around talking while i was shopping for towels. They whispered âsee now i hate how she just set those up on the top shelfâ CLEAR AS DAY like I couldn't hear it!! I turned around to indicate that I DID hear them and they all rolled their eyes. Meanwhile i had no other spot to put the towels because most of the area had propped up shelves and glass etc so I couldn't put them where they belonged. Nobody made any attempts to move them and just watched me work around them. Then snorted when they saw me moving things myself. Terrible shopping experience and they made me feel like i wasnât allowed to shop there and it was an inconvenience of how i set the towels down because of THEIR MESS. Next time i will just leave them on the floor i guess if its not good enough to try and put then up if its not perfect. Will be shopping at the concord location...
   Read moreI am a long time shopper at Homesense and the sister stories. I have never had a bad experience with the merchandise nor the employees. Today was an exception to my typical experience unfortunately. Specifically with Amy, the floor supervisor (in her words), she was requested to do a price check and when she couldnât locate the item or one close enough in style, was clearly bothered when I pressed for a price and displayed that in her outward interaction with me. It got to the point that I had to ask her to stop the conversation and walk away (multiple times) which she refused and continued to banter. I reported her to the store manager and while I was conveying my concerns she continued with unsolicited commentary,. I will also be contacting customer service and the district manager (Chance Hones). The store manager was intimidated by Amy and the situation, which was equally concerning.
