H2 Public House — Restaurant in Cornelius

Always a good experience. But Wednesday night I ordered an Italian panini sandwich and only got half of the sandwich. I showed Danielle, the bartender she said, that is both sides. I open the half sandwich up and said, please show me the other half of this sandwich. She said, the little piece of bread in the middle that’s the other half of your sandwich and walked off. I asked her if I can speak to the manager and she said, he already knows about this. He comes over and argues that I got a whole sandwich but he put a new order in. I show him the half sandwich and said please show me where the other half is. He said it’s there. The new order comes out with both sides and at this point I didn’t want to eat. He laughs and said, the customer is always right. Right? I said , yes in this case I am. I’m showing you your food portion and you are still arguing there are two halves here. I give him the new order back and said, I’m a good customer here Mike and Jessie, they know me. I said, I won’t be back. He threw the food in the trash and said good. Just hate it for your good workers. I always tipped well as Jessie would tell me and he appreciated my business and always said thank you, hope to see you...

I love the food @ Harvey's, but man, is their service slow! I called in a chicken salad @ 11:45 & when I got there @ 12:10, it still wasn't ready. The bartender went to check on it & said it wasn't ready yet. I waited & waited & finally stood beside the kitchen door. I could see my salad up on the counter, but the "finisher" was working on 2 other meals to go. I finally asked him if that was my salad & he said it was. He finally got mine together and proceeded to check me out. That's when I found out I didn't have my dressing...so he had to go back to the kitchen. I finally got out of there @ 12:22! We thoroughly enjoyed this place. Didn't know what to expect with a name like H2 House. I'm sure there's a story behind it. But that's a story for another day. We were there with a group of 20. We had two individuals assigned to us and they did surprisingly well considering. The atmosphere was very pleasant & enjoyable. Typical sports bar with TVs located all around. Our food came out surprisingly fast. I had the fish & chips with a side of Mac & cheese. Everything was very good except one minor detail of the Mac & cheese was a little dry. No worries, I ate it. My wife had the prime rib sub with au jus. She had no complaints. She said it was very good. I recommend giving it a try. I'm sure...
