We visited this place on our way to see the wild horses in Outer banks. We came here based on the great rating for this place on Google. Here is the summary of our experience here:
Ambiance 4/5: The ambiance is good but there was no one when we visited. You have some place to sit on the side of the counter.
Service 3/5: I am forced to give it a bad rating. The owner is really helpful and delightful to talk to but the younger staff (I assume the son) didn't seem to care at all. Any request for anything took a lot of time even though there was nobody else apart from my family
Food 4/5: The food was a mixed bag. Here is the summary of the experience:
a) Tofu Thai fried rice: The tofu was really soft and filling. I really liked the bowl b) Chicken Thai fried rice: While the quantity was good, my family didn't like the taste c) Crab rangoon: They were crispy and good.
Based on my experience, I can only recommend this place for a take away for tofu...
Read moreOut of all the places I have reviewed, this would be the first one that truly deserves 10 stars ⭐✨. From the moment we walked in we received a warm welcome and were told we could find a seat.
This is a spacious restaurant with plenty of seating at the bar, several high tables, and dining tables. This place would be able to accommodate a large group comfortably.
We ordered orange chicken with egg fried rice and broccoli stir fry with chicken and white rice. We also started off with an appetizer of spring rolls. All was cooked to perfection and very delicious. That was the best orange chicken I've ever had. The quality and quantity far exceeded the cost.
The restaurant was very clean, you can tell the owner takes pride in his establishment. They also have single person bathrooms for men and women that are kept clean as well.
My only regret is that we don't live here and will have to wait until our next trip to OBX to dine here again....
Read moreOrdered a tuna poke bowl for dinner to go. Fast and friendly service. But for $20 there was maybe only 7 small cubes of tuna. The bowl was 90% rice. Won't be back and don't recommend
In response to the owner's (?) response. You might be the only place that carries local tuna and I purchased it based on the reviews. But the small portion of tuna, small spoon of edamame, 1/4 of an avocado, 3 slices of cucumber, a bit of dry carrot and miniature fork of seaweed salad is not worth $20 to me. Not spending the gas money to go back to speak to anyone. Just wanted others to know to expect more rice...
