It’s so funny seeing reviews that say “I’ve been here several times and they were great but this one time it wasn’t great so I’ll come here and rate them 1 star”
Anyway, I’ve literally been going here everyday for over a week now lol and each time has been great! I get a cheeseburger each time, but also have tried their fries and patty melt and they were all so delicious! Dunno if anyone remembers that diner Cal Oaks that used to be on rimpau & Ontario many years ago but the cheeseburger reminds me a lot of theirs. Just a really good diner style burger that’s big, juicy, and satisfying. It comes with shredded lettuce which I love and I’m not sure if the onion is shredded too or just really thin but I love that it’s small enough where it’s not overpowering. I hate when a burger has a really big slice of onion that takes over all the other flavors of the burger. The patty always tastes fresh and I love that you can see the grill marks and tastes similar to charbroiled. The sesame buns are lightly toasted w/ the perfect amount of condiments on (mayo, and possibly another type - not sure). I love eating this type of burger with ketchup and highly recommend it! Also the patty melt was just as delicious and the fries were lightly crisped and a big portion. The only thing I would suggest be different is the meal for the cheeseburger aka the burger basket is about twice the price of the burger, and I don’t think it’s worth it esp cuz the drink is small. Meals should be a few dollars more. The inside of the place was very clean and pleasant to dine in. I usually go through the drive thru tho and around lunchtime the line can get pretty long but usually it doesn’t take too long to get your food, although it’s not as fast as jack in the box or McDonald’s which to me is a very good thing and I actually prefer it because it means they’re making my meal fresh/to order. Burger Basket is a corona staple/legend and definitely one of my favorite...
Read moreBEWARE if you do not want a bad case of food poisoning. On June 30, 2017 my wife, second daughter and I had lunch at Burger Basket on 6th Street in Corona, CA. Our order # 00341 consisted of: Quantity Description Extension 1 Chicken Salad $8.99 1 Mustard $0.00 1 Burger Basket $7.69 1 + Avocado $1.89 1 Burger Basket $7.69 1 + Bacon $1.49 1 + Cheese $0.45 Subtotal $28.20 Tax $2.19 Total $30.39
I had the Burger Basket with Avocado. Our daughter had the Burger Basket with Bacon and Cheese. My wife had the Chicken Salad which was tainted. About four hours after returning to work my wife became extremely nauseated and dizzy. She then began vomiting and had to clock out and be taken to the Emergency Room at Corona Regional Medical Center. Fortunately she works at the hospital and was transported via wheel chair. She underwent testing and bloodwork was normal except for dehydration (from violent vomiting episodes). Her ECG showed some PVC’s and after several hours it was determined that she had a bad case of food poisoning.
STAY AWAY FROM THE CHICKEN SALAD, IN THE LEAST IF YOU DON’T WANT A SEVERE CASE OF FOOD POISIONING!!!!
I tried three times to contact the Burger Basket Management to inform them that they had a problem with at least one of the ingredients/batches of Chicken Salad but was unsuccessful. They don’t answer the phone and we live approximately one hour away so I am posting this warning to get their attention and potential clients to avert another food poisoning incident. I will be reporting this food poisoning incident to the Department of Public Health on Monday.
Beware and have a safe 4th of July.
On a scale of 1 - 10 I would give this establishment a (negative...
Read moreOne thing that always makes me come back to a place be it food place or retail store is the customer service. The last two times have not been good. Two weeks ago I went inside. The gal who took my order was pleasant. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a orange juice. They had. 3 young girls that don't seem to have the greatest communication skills when it comes to handing the food. I was the only one with food to go. They called out my number and handed me the bag and because I was thinking of my trip out of town I picked up my bag and left. It was not until I was on the road that I realized they had not put my orange juice in the bag. I tried calling and the voice mail box was full. My second visit was today. Went through drive through. Just ordered a breakfast burrito. When I went to pay wirh cash the girl said they would give me my change. I waited about a minute before the other girl opened the window and proceeded to give me the next order. I told her I was waiting for my change. She turned around, got the change and when she handed to me one of the coins fell out of my hand. She said oh sorry! I was like really. Not oh let me replace it. They closed the the window & the original girl & the second girl had the smile-laugh on their faces. REALLY! It took you a minute to give me my change! Why?! I believe you have too many girls in that window area & that they don't know how to communicate!! This may seem petty but it is the principle of the whole customer service. It is a shame they can not train good customer service. This will be the last time I spend my hard earned working...
