Came here with a couple of people. We sat down without being acknowledged. Waited about 3 minutes till I got up to get our own menus. Maybe it was cause we were in a bit of a rush but it seemed like we waited very very long until we were approached and had our order taken. Once again we waiting for quite a while until our food arrived and we proceeded to "enjoy" our meal. I ordered some spring rolls forgot to say no meat so they brought it over with some sort of beef, but that was completly my fault. As far as the veggie pho bowl I ordered goes.... Ive had waayyyyy better pho. The broth wasnt good at all. The noodles were regular noodles. The veggies were good, there veggies....but then, as I processed to grab some noodles with my chopsticks I spot something. Whats was it. It was disgusting. It was a dead roach. Floating. Appeared as it had been chopped. And ended up in my soup. My not so good now even worst veggie pho soup. When we approched the lady on the register she seemed to be bothered. She didnt charge us for the soup. Service sucks. Food sucks. Roaches in my soup sucks. Id say dont do it. We should have gone...
Read moreThere's not many options in Corona for pho so this has become my go-to place. I usually enjoy my pho but I there's no real consistency with their overall quality. You either get lucky and they give you a lot of meat and tendon or....you find yourself fishing for those tasty bits. I've also noticed that the broth can be rich and flavorful or seems watered down. Their bean sprouts are not the freshest, but I've only ever gotten take out. Don't know if that makes a difference when eating at the restaurant or not. Service is pretty fast and the girls at the register have always been really nice. My personal favorites are in Riverside and Rancho, but this is a 10 minute drive for me and good enough to satisfy my pho cravings.
2024 Update: can say I'm pleasantly surprised and happy with the quality and quantity of meat. Last time I was here, you can tell the owners have worked on the menu items and the overall atmosphere makes for a much better...
Read moreI deleted my old review and leaving a new one. I'm sad that this place is changing to "pho rex". I ordered my usual shrimp spring rolls and they added pork to it and the meat looked pretty gross so I had them change it to just the shrimp. Then I ordered the veggie pho which normally comes with bok choy, carrots, mushroom, broccoli, and tofu. It still looks the same on the menu but when they brought it out it has cabbage, celery, mushrooms, broccoli, and one carrot slice. The food honestly didn't even taste as good as it normally does....the service is still good though. This place use to be my favorite spot but definitely not anymore! I should have taken a photo of the first spring...
