Dat Good Good — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

So I've been seeing this place all over Facebook and I love trying and supporting local business. I read the instructions laid out on the page on how to order, I followed them to aT. I placed my phone order around 930 this morning, spoke to Valerie, who I'm assuming is the owner. Asked when my order would be delivered, she said between 1130-12. Paid over the phone, all was good. Until it was 1:30 with no food, lunch hour came and went. I called the number several times, but it went to voicemail. I left a voicemail explaining my frustration, not to mention I was hangry! Valerie called me back, but not to apologize for the inconvenience. However to inform me that she is the only cook and she has only one delivery driver, she had 4 orders before mine, blah blah. I, as a customer didn't need to hear how poorly she runs her business or the fact that she takes on more than she's capable of handling. She said she is a very "patient" individual and she has learned that as a small business owner, so if her deliveries or payment for service is late, I guess she's okay with it, but funny how she was quick to take my payment! So for her poor business habits and unprofessional customer service, she gets 1 star because Google doesn't let you give anything less. Now let's talk about the food. I'm a fair person, so I'll be brutally honest the food was delicious. The Birria tacos were tasty, full of flavor, the asada tacos had authentic flavors and appetizing. The Mac n cheese was cold but also very delish. I honestly wish that the experience had been better, because I would have loved to have found a new spot. I’ve been wanting to try the food here so I placed an order the night before and told the employee I would be paying cash. When I went to pick up food, I was told that they were sold out. I wish they would have told me they wouldn’t hold my food unless it was paid for!! I drove 30 min for an order I placed and wasn’t even able to get my food. Not only that they made me wait for like 10 min before telling me they were sold out instead of telling me when I went to the window the first time. Tonight my girlfriend went to this location which was walk in only and waited 2 hours for 1 plate!! Not a single apology was received for the wait. You don't even wait that long at a restaurant!!! Customer service is trash and the little girl taking the orders has horrible customer service as well. Get it together! You just lost 2 customers and I will be telling everyone I know not to come here anymore. The food is good but it ain't that good to make people wait like that and not even acknowledge it 👎🏽
