Not horrible. Really not great. Wouldnt stay again. Bugs. People were pleasant enough on phone and in person. Walked in room, smelled good like perfume, seemed relatively clean. Until we turned more lights on. Not horribly dirty but not super clean. Found about 5 baby roaches on floor in bathroom. Killed em, and haven't seen anymore- fingers crossed. (Update: saw more babies. And a grown up later.) The bed linens were stained. Red maybe juice stains on top comforter. Black marks on sheets like if they'd been stepped on. One of the pillows was pretty yellow, and i set it aside. 4 pillows on each bed, and beds were relatively comfy. Ac, Sink, toilet, and shower work fine. Fridge had stuff left in freezer, and kind of dirty with little bits of food in bottom and splatters in freezer section. Breakfast was funny. Corn flakes, froot loops, milk, coffee, sunny d, mini cinnamon rolls, honey buns, blueberry and banana nut muffins. That's it. We went at 8 am it runs til 10. People in room next to us were making quite a ruckus from midnight til about 130 am. Banging walls. Slamming doors. Yelling at each other. Good times. Another guest went and talked to them and it calmed down. It was the cheapest place on the beach that accepts dogs. It still felt a little expensive for what we got, but it's peak season summer, and it's expensive everywhere. I scoured the internet. I was tempted to not stay the second night, and try the red roof inn off the highway which was actually cheaper, even though it looks nicer only bc they dont charge for dogs, but I'm just glad to be on the beach. The hotel is on shoreline, then there's a strip of grassy park, then the beach is right there after that. Upstairs you can see the beach and water. They have a little picnic balcony area with one broken table and one good table. I saw they have a laundry room which I haven't used yet. (Used it: old and beat up but did the job.)It's by the pool which looks alright, but we chose not to use it since the cleanliness overall was questionable. The ice machine and soda machine are there by the pool and laundry room. For what it is-...
Read moreThe room was HUGE. The bathroom was clean and the sheets were clean, but the carpet was filthy. One of the blankets had something stuck to it (pink and sticky). Both bed covererings were stained. We were afraid to use them, so we put them on the floor. Nobody ever came by to straighten up our room and give us fresh towels. I had to go down to the smelly lobby to get more. I never could get the Wi-Fi to work. The first morning (Saturday), I went down to see what they offered for breakfast and there was only two types of cereal out at 7:30. Their sign states that they have breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30, no exceptions, but they sure didn't have anything out but cereal when I went down there. || Sunday morning they had a few unwrapped muffins and a few other pastries but we were afraid to eat it considering the cleanliness of the overall motel. We will be visiting Corpus Christi a lot more in the future because our son will be going to college down there, but we definitely will not be staying at this...
Read morePro's - Lower Cost, Nice Staff, Laundry room, good parking, size of room. Con's - Smelled like a chain smokers room (I was never asked smoking or non), TV continually shut off on its own, woman's hair all over clean towels, one hand towel was hanging dirty, comforter had cigarette burns all over it.
This place has so much potential to be nicer then it is. Patchwork on walls and ceiling need to be finished with paint and closing the hole in the ceiling (kinda creepy). The smell was overwhelming and ALL of my belongings smelled of smoke and I don't smoke. You can hear the traffic from the main road, the bed was huge, the area between the bed and bathroom was large with a clean fridge and microwave. It is located super close to the beach. The cost for what you get is a bit high. The staff were helpful and nice. The pics are from the room...
