El potro mexican restaurant #2 — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

I used to order here all the time but no longer do , due to this issue......I called to place an order here one day and the girl who took the call placed me on hold for over 10min, I live near by , so I went to the restaurant, (while i was still on the phone, on hold), and I see the girl at the front who takes orders sitting, eating. I confront her and she tells me she is sorry and will take my order now, I told her I wanted to speak to the manager, and she tells me he is not there. I asked for her name and she tells me she did not have to give me her name and told other staff not to give me her name, this girl was a young mexican girl, light complected, with black hair, has accent since she speaks Spanish and English.... she tried to only speak to me in Spanish azooming I didn't know Spanish, since I was speaking to her in English. I ended up leaving since this cashier girl was being so rude and ended up refusing to provide service . She even said she would call the cops. I told her by all means, call the cops. But she never did. So idk why she would even suggest that....I called serval times that week asking to speak with manager but that same girl would always give me the run around or tell me he is not there or i just missed him (i could identify it was her on the phone due to her voice). Such a horrible girl, hope management sees this, it should also be known that an older mexican man at drive thru. Steals money and puts it in his pocket when he thinks no one is looking. This restaurant is ran by employees , apparently there is no...

The good news is that it was not crowded. The reason is that with so many choices for mexican food , this one just does not measure up.. I had the flauta plate. The flautas were crisp and hot out of the fryer , but the meat was dry and seemed burned on the end. The beans and rice were stone cold. They did bring replacement beans and rice. The beans were warm , not hot , and the new rice was still cold , I did not send back , as I did not care for rice anyway , I do not want peas in my mexican rice!! The chips were just ok , the few flour chips in the basket were kind of soggy. The salsa was just ok , not really hot at all ( and I am wimpy). The server was very nice and attentive , she kept water glass full. As I looked around , it seemed like this place had seen better days. Places on the walls that need to be painted , the decor just ok. The floors looked dirty , like they desperately needed a good mopping. So , I don't think I will go back anytime soon , I will hold out for hot food , good chips, and at least...

Used to be my favorite rest. I have been in several times and countless times I would walk up with Bailey and order food to go. Always waited outside with her, always tipped very well. Today I walked up with Bailey and asked a table of three if it would bother them if my Bailey and I sat out on patio to order our to go food as it was very hot. They said happily no problem. I then asked the staff and they said no problem. Bailey was on her leash but I still carried her thru the rest to the patio. They took my order and when they brought my drink I was informed that I had already been told to tie my (DOG) up out front.... FIRST OF ALL NO I HAVE NOT! NO ONE HAS EVER TALKED TO ME ABOUT TIEING BAILEY UP OUT FRONT. SECOND, IF IT WERE A PROBLEM WHY LET ME GO OUT TO BEGIN WITH????? WHY LET ME ORDER FIRST??
