My husband saw that they had almost 5 stars and the food looked good in the pictures .When we got there the waitress was very rude to my Sisterinlaw when she was asking about if sour cream came on the nachos and also she only asked us what we wanted to drink and not her . My Sisterinlaw had to tell her she wanted a drink too 🍸 . Then the waitress comes back with only my drink and it was gross I had ordered a piña colada and it tasted like sweet water because it was not frozen at all .She then brings my husband nachos with ground beef on top but it had some kind of sauce with the meat it didn't taste good also my Sisterinlaw got her chorizo with melted cheese mix together it was super greasy .Well we got the food and our drinks and finally she told my Sisterinlaw that she was going to make her drink well she did and it was the wrong one also I told her my drink tasted bad and she was rude and told me that's what you ordered I said yes but this is not a piña colada it's not even frozen the waitress said it had some kind of tequila and Sprite in it so it was my drink I told her I am not paying for a drink that taste bad and it's not even frozen or cold she finally took it back .She also got frustrated with my Sisterinlaw inlaw because she made the wrong drink for her like it was my Sisterinlaw fault she didn't make the right one .We told the owner and he said my Sisterinlaw didn't have to pay for her food or drink. But my husband still was going to pay for his nachos that where not even good and his beer and the waitress was trying to make him pay the tortillas that where not his .At the end we told the owners dauther I think she was that we waitress was very rude she said she was sorry but the whole time the waitress was there next to her trying to look like she didn't do anything. I like trying new places but definitely will not try this place again because the food was not good and the drinks also...

Great mom and pop find! Stopped in for breakfast and had the barbacoa and eggs. Extremely tasty, hot and fresh. They serve a red and a green salsa. The red was smokey, had good flavor, but was plenty hot and spicy. The green was not a taste that I personally cared for, and should have come with a warning label for heat. One extremely small taste, and I was done; mouth and throat both on fire.

The prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly and the helpings plentiful. I look forward to coming back here on my next visit to CC so I can sample something other than breakfast.

UPDATE 08/05/23 Finally got the opportunity to try something other than breakfast food, and I was not disappointed. I got the Texas plate(2 cheese enchiladas, carne guisada, rice and beans). The food was hot, fresh and tasty! The carne guisada was very tender, and had great flavor as well. Still have to throw out a warning for the salsa, it's HOT. The table salsa served with the chips was plenty hot, but then our waitress brought over 2 squeeze bottles with other salsas, one red and the other green. Came from Galveston TX service was okay they were really nice but the food I was very very disappointed.One would think to come to corpus Christi for some good Mexican food but get the worst tex mex food I've ever had. My meal was the chicken flautas the chicken was alright but the guacamole was nothing but tomatoes and barely any avacado in it. The rice was watery kind of it tasted like it came out of a box no flavor was very surprised about that that my daughters got the menudo it was way too salty and it had a weird flavor and we all agreed the rice wasn't good the only thing that was good was the beans!! Like seriously that was it.My little cousin got the beef quesadillas..
