Padre Pizzeria — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

Spring break trip and wanted pizza for kiddos. Good reviews so tried padre pizza. Pizza delivered was incorrect so I called the store and after young lady who answered the phone and the second lady, maybe the manager, tried to convince me that the ham was actually on the pizza but hidden by the cheese, she finally agreed to replace my pizza with the caveat that I return the wrong HALF pizza previously delivered (seriously really told this). Ok will do. So how long before we revived the correct pizza which again was for my lil ones. Her response was that it would take as long as it does to remake pizza as ordered and deliver it. Ha ha again to this customer service guru. So I informed her that in lieu of waiting for the correct pizza that we would consume the correct half of the pizza but definitely return the incorrect half to the delivery guy. Padre pizza rep made a point to remind me that It was ok to eat the pepperoni half but that I must return the no ham half which was being replace, ha ha again. This was getting less funny at this point and If I wasn’t trying to feed my lil ones pizza as promised I would have told the rep to take a flying leap with her half used pizza; however I stayed pleasant because we didn’t want her or anyone else to do something with the replacement pizza which was for my kiddos. Driver, who was pleasant both times, apologized when he delivered the small pizza as replacement for the incorrect one. I think if the rep could have only sent half a pizza she would have.This whole situation was completely Ridiculous and a representatio. Of the worst customer service ever. First, to be told to make sure that I returned the pizza that they screwed up was insulting and likely a health code violation. What were they gonna do with it? Repackage and redistribute it to the next person that ordered a half ham and jalapeño medium pizza. Secondly, the lack customer service and nerve of the rep to request that I return the incorrectly made half of pizza was totally ridiculous as if I ordered a pizza hoping they would make it wrong so that I would get an extra pizza. Note to padre pizza make the pizza that is ordered correctly and u wouldn’t have to replace it!!!! And get rid of the helpful rep who thinks that it is ok to request customers to return a half eaten pizza that your store screeed up on the first place!!! Terrible, terrible , terrible management.

Sean refused to serve us do to my food allergy. I have a milk allergy but still enjoy pizza with just sauce and pepperoni. Our precious waitress ran back and fourth to the kitchen to check on the crust ingredients, sauce, etc. she informed us that they mixed their pizza sauce with cheese and offered olive oil instead. We asked first if they would open a new can of sauce for us and Sean refused. Next we asked if we could buy a whole can of sauce for my one pizza, again Sean refused. Not once this this POS “Manager” come and speaks with us. We decided not to order anything else or ask to speak to Sean directly because I didn’t want to cause a scene and I wasn’t looking for anything free, just simply they make me a pizza with no cheese.

We will never return and we will let all of our network know of this incident. I can eat pizza from everywhere else. Cici’s, Brooklyn Pie Co (also on padre island), Pizza Hut, papa johns, dominos, literally every where else and because Sean is a poor manager we couldn’t enjoy a local place. So instead of supporting local we will give our money to the cooperations and hopefully they drive Padre Pizzeria out...

I want to leave a 5 star for this restaurant but I just can't. The food is incredible and totally worth the wait.

Their toasted raviolis are spicy and delightful. The pizza is legit.

But the service is just awful. It is still worth it to go but just know it's tough at times. The food is worth it.

We ordered a large pizza, half meat lovers/half Hawaiian. Now, we did not specify which part went on which side because it seemed pretty obvious that these halves would go on opposite sides.

What we received was a half plain cheese pizza with meat lovers + Hawaiian all together on the same side. Epic fail.

When we explained to the waiter it was wrong and why it was wrong, he did offer to make us a new one but we had just waited an hour for this one and we were going to die if we had to wait any longer.

The great news was that the combo was actually pretty good. The bad news is that we expected they'd comp our drinks or appetizer or do something to correct the issue. They did not.

I will still definitely eat here again but will be VERY specific about what our order is and I'll eat a snack before I come because it always takes forever...
