I was so glad to find out that I am not the only person that continuously has issues with the drive through guy. The food at Linda's is awesome. Maybe this is why I return. I live in the hope that the older guy will not be working the window when I drive through. First I noticed that he rounds up totals. What a coincidence that the totals are almost always whole dollar totals. Secondly, he doesn't give me my change (coins) back. It may be just 18 cents to him but to me it's my change to do what I want to do with. He can not assume that we don't care if he keeps our change. Thirdly, when you order the same thing that you ordered the day before, you are expecting to pay the same, but no, it is going to be a different total, usually higher than before. Additionally when you ask for a receipt, it's as if he is put on an audit. He gives a look of panic and discontent, like I just asked a lot from him. The last 2 visits this week had issues as well. I was charged for the car behind me. My total was $7.25 and theirs was $12.75. The guy told me that he ran my card wrong and he was going to give me back the difference. He was suppose to give me back $5.50 but he gave me back $4.75. I had to explain to two other workers what had occurred, even write the math problem on a paper to show them how I came up with $5.50. Today was the final straw. I was showing the guy with my hands what size of beans I was wanting. He never looked at me. He just started keying in my order and nodding his head but refusing to look at what I was trying to show him. Needless to say, he keyed in a large when I was showing him the size of the medium that I had just purchased a few days ago. I was trying to explain but he was rushing me. When he said the total was $11 something, I knew that he had charged me for a larger order than the one I wanted because I told him that I had ordered the same order a few days ago and it was $7 and change. He had a bothered look again when I asked him to correct my order and gave me a new total of $7.99 Yes, the highest amount possible in the $7 something world. LOL. I had to laugh to myself. Finally, the receipt is in codes of some sort that can hardly be read and then the total. I would like a break down of the items I purchased and a total. Sometimes, I just get a receipt with just a total on it, that's it. Acapulco will be opening again soon and I worry that their prices will be high to cover the cost of their new building. Also, Acapulco's food is not as good as Linda's to me. I want to continue coming to Linda's but this older guy at the drive through might just make it necessary for me and my family to switch over to Acapulco once they re-open. I hope it doesn't come to that. Respectfully, a...
Read morei loved this place as a kid. i’ve gone once every few years since, as i don’t live close by anymore. yesterday i called in a pickup order, and went through the drive thru to pickup. i waited for over 10 minutes despite several people noticing my car at the window. i was never greeted. i finally called the restaurant asking to be acknowledged by anyone, just for them to tell me i’m not allowed to pick up my order in the drive thru. they told me this on the phone as i stared at the “doordash pickup here” sign plastered on the drive thru window in front of me. i said okay, despite the unacceptability of them making me go out of my way to go inside considering how long they ignored me at the window and allowed my food to get cold. only for the employee to abruptly hang the phone up on me without so much as a “thank you, sorry for the inconvenience”, or you know, the bare minimum “goodbye”.
when i picked up my order inside, the employee who handed me my food, his fingernails were filthy. it was really distasteful.
linda’s - there are disabled people who deserve to call in an order and pick up comfortably from their vehicles. not many places (in fact close to none) ridiculously require customers to avoid the drive thru to pick up their orders. in fact it makes more sense for people who call ahead to be in the drive thru, more than people who order while in the drive thru — because our call-in orders are already ready and it’s a quick process. plain and simply, i was picking up an order just like the car in front of me. it’s also unfair for doordashers to be able to pick up pre-placed orders in the drive thru, yet not your customers. i have a condition that causes tachycardia and other symptoms when standing, so i don’t appreciate y’all making me unnecessarily get out of my vehicle for this ridiculous rule. and a lot of other disabled people wouldn’t appreciate it either. like just let me pay for my food and give it to me? blatantly ignoring a drive thru customer for over 10 minutes, not apologizing, and then forcing them to (unnecessarily) go inside anyway, is not smart customer service. really...
Read moreThe reason I'm giving 1 star is because negative stars are not an option. I was joining 2 others who had already ordered, I arrived later. The waitress completely ignored me, never asked if I wanted anything to drink or brought a menu. I finally had to say something after her 2nd visit to the table...after I arrived. When I received my food (Enchiladas verdes) I took one bite and it was super acidic, just disgusting. I couldn't eat it so I asked for the manager and simply told her I couldn't eat because of the acidity, that I didn't like it. Most common sense restaurants just simply apologize and remove it from the ticket... nope, not this place. She had the audacity to say "I'll taste it to see if it's acidic or not." The point is the customer found it acidic (I can't eat heavily acidic foods). She took it and still proceeded to charge us half the plate price because she thought the food was fine. Who the hell charges a customer for something they didn't eat but the manager thought it was fine. The food here is below average Mexican food, if you want decent Mexican food you can literally go to any other place than Linda's. Terrible food, terrible service, terrible treatment, and...
