I paid about $50 for a plate or orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and egg rolls. I wasnāt a fan of the orange chicken and had only ate one piece, because both my son and I noticed that it had kind of a metallic taste. I asked if there was any way that i could get the lomein instead since iāve had that before. The employee told me heād ask his manager. She had us waiting there for about 15 minutes (we were thinking that the lomein was being remade), but instead we were waiting just to be told that she was unable to make the plate because āif we didnāt like it then she would be at loss for 2 plates of foodā. She did offer a refund which was fine, but I wouldāve rather had the plate of food instead. I wish I had an option to remove my tip as well, I definitely wonāt be returning back anytime soon. As a manager you should be worrying about fixing the problem and ensuring your guests leave happy rather than being selfish and worrying...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI like the food from this place, but I probably wont order from here again for a couple of reasons. First, whenever I place an order for pickup over the phone, the order is NEVER ready when I arrive at the promised time. I always make sure to tell the staff that I live in the same neighborhood so they know I will pick up and not be a no-show. Instead, Iām stuck waiting there for an additional 15 minutes for them to start cooking the food once I arrive. Thatās not how you do business, and this has happened every single time Iāve ordered from them. Second, the portions are way too small for how much they charge. See attached Snapchat photo, the consensus I sent my friend group was āNO!ā definitely not worth $18 for that little plate. Anyway, good food, but overpriced. Sadly, will not be ordering from there again even though it is convenient...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMe and the wife dined in for about $30. We got a small egg drop soup, and a small hot and sour soup for our appetizers. The egg drop soup and hot and sour soups were both delicious and on point. No complaints here! I ordered the cashew chicken, and the wife ordered broccoli chicken. The wife and I loved our meals! The cashew chicken was perfect and reminded me of the old Hua T'ai restaurant from back in the day. The wife and I both had one very tiny complaint, but no stars lost. The egg rolls were a tad on the greasy side. But no harm, no foul! Me and the wife definitely recommend this as the best Chinese restaurant in the Corpus Christi area! A nice little hideaway restaurant and great for Chinese takeout as well! Great service and a great little atmosphere. The restaurant is a bit small, but it had big flavors packed...
