Mr Feast Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

I was looking for something different to eat in the area and I came across this place on Google. I had difficulty finding it because it's located inside another business and there's no sign saying Mr. Feast is in that building; however, eventually I found it. I really can't comment on the service because I got the order to go however the first guy to greet me acted like I did something to him in another life(not pleasant at all). The atmosphere was that am ordinary takeout place(nothing good or bad). I ordered two sliders and fries to go. The food was just OK for me and nothing special. The chicken was a little bit too dry, the fries were salty and a bit soggy, and the sauce for the fries tasted bitter to me. I'm from the south and I've had Nashville hot chicken many times and this did not in any way taste like Nashville hot chicken. It tasted like breaded fried chicken breast with hot sauce on it. Chicken sliders were a 9/10 !! Chicken was very juicy (not deep fried greasy) and the flavor was great. The spice on the chicken was not some boxed dry rub, it was an original blend for sure. Don’t be fooled by the word sliders, they are huge ! One is definitely enough with the fries, but like all the meals here, they won’t let you leave still hungry. The slider buns were great. Closed ends so the sauce and juice didn’t drip out of it. The slaw was great. Not all wet and making the bread soggy. Be sure to put a little drizzle of the honey on with the sauce they give you with it. Makes a perfect little hint of sweet with the spicy ! Al in all, I highly recommend the chicken sliders. I really wanted to hate it because the service was terrible. When I showed up to pick it up she tried to give me a bag and showed me the ticket with a different order. I told her it wasn’t mine so she set it on a counter and told me mine would be right out. I waited about 15 minutes before she came back and added a bowl to the bag that was sitting on the counter and told me that was mine after all. So I sat along with my food just letting it get soggy. The place was dead so they can’t say it was too busy. Then the boxes were marked wrong so I called to let them know and she told me they just didn’t have the right stickers, it was actually the right order. Okay, fine.
