Went there with friends for lunch , it was still early so we were the only ones there. ( I driv e by at night and parking lot is packed) I ordered a Cesar salad ( and should not have) I did order the small ( ha ha) pizza because we did not want leftovers in a hot car , as we had errands to run. I think when people ask , they should say 6 LARGE pieces of pizza 12',did not mean anything to me. I usually order home delivery and always have leftovers ( from a large pizza). I got the 4 cheese specialty pizza and added meatballs and garlic. It was a thin crust pizza . The crust was perfect , crisp on edges, and soft ,but cooked rest of pizza. You could really tell it had more than 1 type of cheese. I thought it was a white pizza , but it did not have very much red sauce , so that was good. The meatballs were crumbled, and that was ok , but I thought they would just be cut up and on pizza , so while they did taste good , it could have been anything, ground beef or sausage. I did pay for the extra toppings, which I knew , but I told the server that when I paid extra and asked for garlic , I wanted garlic and wanted to taste it. He offered to bring me some garlic on the side? In a bowl? I said no , it made no sense to me to add AFTER pizza was cooked. I did get a "surprise " from the server ( it was a celebration) which was nice , but I had expected to PAY for a dessert, and I wanted a different cake , and I was going to take cannoli home , but they did not ask , so I did not say I wanted them. So my advice to the server is WAIT. It was a very nice...
Read morewent here for lunch. we were the only ones in the place at noon. we ordered a large 16 inch meat combo pizza.we waited for 15 minutes when our server John said that our pizza was the next to go into the oven, when the one in there came out!!!!!!! huh???? they have a large 3 door industrial pizza oven, and can only do one pizza at a tinne???
the pizza came out and was sliced into only 6 pieces. that is huge to handle, i might suggest 8 pieces would be more manageable.
i grew up in new jersey and back there they cut pizza that big if your are ordering it by the slice, not a full pie.
i must admit the dough was authentic new york, had good chew to it. it would have been better if the pie was cooked more, they was no blistering of any of the cheese, ingrediants or crust...........that is just not done back east!!!! you got a have it to get that flavor.
overall the flavor of the pie was good, we will give them another try, they certainly come the closest to copying new york pie better than anyone else in town.
only other comment is it would be nice if the dinning room was a bit more comfortable, it must have been 65 in there, we'll bring our coats next time!!
service was good, manager was pleasant, nice...
Read moreNice venue that hosts some pretty frequent and good comedy shows, but the food was pretty expensive for how only OK it was. It wasn't horrible, but at over $20 for just a kinda chewy thin crust pepperoni pizza its definitely not somewhere we will go super often. Other menu items may be better but expect to pay about $16-$20 a dish with $3 no refill bottled sodas. Price wasn't a huge surprise as it's part of the Bella Luna family. For Corpus Italian it's certainly one of the best options in town, but if you have experience with true New York/New England Italian it's very lackluster and Expensive).
Finding a place to park feels almost as annoying as finding street parking for their downtown location. Not really their fault though, the strip mall it's in just has an unfortunately small parking lot.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, although they could work on communication when providing service when you're supposed to be quiet during the shows. Something like having access to a notepad or tablet to write on, and maybe a table marker you could put up to quietly announce you'd like a server to stop by your table may help. During normal restaurant hours the service is good without any...
