Snapka's Drive Inn — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

So I randomly came across this place; looked like it was my type of place. Unfortunately it was not. So alot was wrong here. I ordered a dixie burger meal. My wife a corn dog and small cheese burger. I'm not sure if they only have one size of burger patty there but my burger was 25% bigger than the patty which was odd. But the patty was the same size as the one on my wife's small cheese burger. Not really cool. The bun had the essence of toastedness, or more like the ghost of a toasted bun. The fries I'm pretty sure are frozen out of a bag, and not salted at all. However ever table has a salt shaker. No problems with the wife's small cheese burger other than the patty being the same size as the more costly dixie burger. The corn dog however the wiener inside was still cold when she got it. She took it back and they said they would make another. Then a counter lady brought one over she said was from a phone in order so we didnt have to wait. I appreciate the thought but the second was as cold as the first. We just let things things alone at this point. The staff was super friendly and attentive. It's just a shame I really enjoy small old little burger joints. I really dont know what was up with my burger maybe by mistake they put a small patty on a regular sized burger, or maybe they only have on size patty. I would think who ever made the burger when slapping that patty on, and seeing it dwarfed by the bun and toppings would stop to fix it if it were a mistake. All in all a mediocre burger place, nothing stands out here. Nothing tasted bad here and staff were nice, just not a place I'd be willing to spend...

If I could rate lower than 1 star I would. This was my first time ever coming to this establishment. I came in with my kids and fiancé for some lunch. Everything started off great our server was very courteous and friendly. As we were waiting for our order we heard yelling coming from behind the counter when we looked over we saw the lady that was taking orders from the drive thru window punch our server in the face! This is truly a disgrace and I’m so furious at the fact that my small children had to witness this violence happen. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I did ask our server if she was okay she said yes but she was in tears. I also asked if she would like for me to call the police but she denied. I am so...

Food: We got to-go; food was fresh, packaged well, tasted good. Only issue (minor) was one order not coming as ordered, the other order was perfect. We tried the Dixie burger and a taco.

Service: Very friendly lady at the counter, didn't catch her name, but she was awesome! She happily told us about the Dixie burger name origin.

Atmosphere: Feels like a well run in place with a lot of history and memories in it. Definitely enjoyed the vibe. AC worked great as well. If you're a flufflier person, be aware of the fit at the table, chairs are attached to the table!
