Starbucks — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

This is probably the best location with an actual view (its even waterfront!) that the Starbucks corp has anywhere. On top of that its a clean & effiecient store with super nice employees & great coffee....

But I just have to share what happened to me @ this location just now. I just had the most incredible thing happen to me just now....

I'm placing my order & I'm the only customer on line in the moment. This little girl comes up next to me by the counter real close with a Starbux card in her hand. I figured shes probably sitting down with her parent(s) with some drinks & they gave her the green light to get a cake or something & shes just a little impatient or has no personal space concept. Lol. I'm like, no biggie - cute kid... Well, I get through placing my order & she says, "Excuse me, ma'am, I'd like to pay for your order". I'm like "Huh? I'm sorry; say again?". So she repeats it, but adds at the end, "Its my birthday today & I just wanted to do something nice for someone". So I ask her if shes sure, & shes smiling, saying "Yup!". I ask her if shes with her mom &/or dad & if they said it was ok. She said yes & pointed to her Mom. Well I thank her and ask her name. She said her name was Claire. I then tell her that Claire is a pretty name (no lie - as it is!), then tell her mine and to have a happy birthday; and lastly, that shes an awesome kid who made my day. I then tell the gentleman taking my order that I don't even know the kid. Hes floored & when the Claire goes to pay he said to her "Nope. I've got this one - this is on the house! Happy birthday!". She smiles & runs off to her Mom. Of course I thank him & then go over to her Mom to tell her shes raising an awesome kid 🙂.

Claire, you really did make my day....& you've helped restore my faith in future generations of leaders of humanity ❤️. I truly hope you have the most blessed and special 9th birthday today & have the same for every other birthday you ever have! 😊 🎂 🎁 🎈

And I also want to say thank you to the gentleman who took my order this day and to this Starbucks' manager of this store for giving your employees enough liberty to help make a little girl's and a 'more mature'...

Nice store. Bathroom was clean .... except designed poorly .... which is typical because MEN design them, right?? Associates were extremely busy as the drive-thru window was waaaaay backed up. On that note, sure wish folks would park and go inside rather than having all these vehicles idling. Good to stand up too. Move the body. Back to waaaaay busy ..... so busy, they weren't having fun. No smiles, just busy focused. That all said, as a customer .... my experience at this Starbucks was very good. Clean bathroom. Food and drink arrived just as I came out of that CLEAN but poorly designed bathroom. Aaaaaaaaand I worked to get the associate who served me my order to break her seriousness for a smile for herself and a greeting.

One more parting shot .... so I'm also thinking that the MEN who design Starbucks bathrooms don't wash and dry their hands either .... otherwise they wouldn't have designed it like that. Nor have they helped a child in the bathroom or even considered including a wheelchair person on their design team. I'm a full able-bodied adult, and it was a struggle to dry my hands with the position of that dryer. Ridiculous. OK.... one more note. Read the sign on how to properly wash your hands. Hysterical water waste too. 6 steps. OK. 5th step is to dry your hands. 6th step is to .... TURN THE WATER OFF. Sooooooo back to my point, who is designing Starbucks...

This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion.

We went to this Starbucks on Monday 7/26/21.

in the afternoon of the same day we stopped by to get a coffee before the long journey back home.

FOOD/BEVERAGE: we had Iced Latter and a Green Tea Frappuccino.

Iced Latte = it was very watery, not a strong coffee flavor and even I asked for just a few cubes of ice they just filled the cup up with Ice. It was very watery.

Green Tea Frappuccino = it had a good flavor to it, balanced and intense at the same time. well made.

STAFF: the girl was very nice and friendly... with a big smile on her face.

PLACE: this Starbucks shop is brand new. inside is very well furnished and clean and it has an amazing view. you can sit back, relax, enjoy your drink/food and admire God's creation.

LOCATION: it couldn't have a better location, just off the Padre Island and before the bridge that connects the Island to the Land. Very convenient for the Coffee lover who do also love Nature and Camping. it is conveniently located right out of the Padre Island National Seashore.

CONCLUSION: I'd definitely would go...
