Ordered 2 subs add avocado ($1.50 per sandwich). Picked up my order and sat in rush hour traffic in 100 degree heat to get back home. When I get home, neither of the sandwiches has avocado. No big deal. I'll call and get a credit for another day. These things happen.
So I call and politely explain the situation. They look up my order and refuse to give me a credit. They say I can drive back over and pick up 2 cups of avocado. I explain to them I just got home and there's no way I'm going to inconvenience myself by getting back in rush hour traffic and driving across town to pick up 2 plastic cups of avocado while my sandwiches get cold and stale because of a mistake THEY made. I ask if I can just have a remake credit for the next time I go. They say the only way they can do that is if I bring the sandwiches back on that day. what? Do they plan on serving my day-old sandwich to another customer or something? Someone else picks up the phone (I'm guessing the shift lead) and tells me the same thing.
I ask again, "can't I just get a remake the next time I go over?" She says "sure, I'll tell my manager" and takes my name. I thank her and hang up, thinking the issue is resolved. I get a call 20 minutes later saying that the manager says they can't do that. I ask to speak to the manager. She says the manager isn't there. She tries to make me see the "bright side". "Hey, but you got your sandwiches right?" "No, that's not what I ordered." She says they can give me a refund. Okay sure, I'll take a refund, even if it's just for the price of the avocado (avocado is pretty expensive). The girl proceeds "okay, you can come in any day from 8 to 5". That's where I lost it again. Not only have I been inconvenienced by receiving an incorrect order, having to call in and be refused a comp remake, but now I'd have to drive across town to that store just to get my rightful compensation. I just told her I'd contact corporate.
Fact is, these mistakes happen everywhere. However, this is the first restaurant I've ever had so much trouble having them correct their own mistakes and then still ending up empty-handed all while being patronized that "it's not so bad". The cashier charged me for a medium drink instead of a small drink making the sub total $9.29 instead of the coupon amount of $8.99. Yes, I know about taxes, but the sub total is supposed to be coupon amount of $8.99 plus tax not $9.29 plus tax. Cashier constantly argued with me when I told her that she charged more because she charged me for a medium drink instead of a small drink & that is why the sub total was $9.29 instead of $8.99 (per coupon). The coupon has that the drink is a small but she insisted that the meal is a medium drink. Even though the coupon has small drink not medium drink on it. I explained & showed her the receipt & she argued that there was nothing that she could do over & over again. The mgr. needs to train employees because I have taken coupons before & been charged the coupon amount plus tax not charged more than coupon amount plus tax. I do know how coupons are supposed to be used. The mgr. needs to train the employees how to read coupons, how to charge correctly, how to listen to the customers & how to be professional.
Customer service was not professional at all. Very rude employee who was obviously not in the mood to wait on me. Read moreI went into this subway and I was very dissappointed. I walk in and stand there no greeting and no acknowledgement that I am even standing there. I stand and 3 employees are working on an online order and I wait until I ask them if the people for the online order were standing there. One of the ladies says no and I said well it is very disrespectful that I am standing here and no one has the descency to even acknowledge that I am standing here. There is no responce for a moment and then one of them asks what can i get you. Now at this point I am so upset and I would have normally walked out but I was there to get lunch for my son so I get my 6 in sub and leave. Just thought I would share since I dont see how this is good customer service at all....
