I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Blue Clove, and I can confidently say this place is a true gem! What made our visit even more memorable was the outstanding service provided by David. David is the epitome of 5-star service—he’s not just a server but someone who truly embodies the spirit of the restaurant. Welcomed by the owners like family, David’s passion for The Blue Clove is evident in every interaction, making it feel like he’s running his own business. His recommendations for both the appetizer and the entrée were spot on. Great job, David!
We’re already planning our next trip to Corpus, and dining at The Blue Clove will definitely be on our itinerary. Compliments to the chefs and the owners for creating such a fantastic dining experience. If you love seafood, you absolutely have to try their Crab Cake Balls—an appetizer that’s worth every bite. While I used to consider Skuttlebutt’s a top choice, The Blue Clove has completely raised the bar.
After spending time at Whitecap Beach, my family was craving something local and fresh, and The Blue Clove delivered in every way. The food here is hands down the best in Corpus Christi, and the prices are excellent for the quality you receive. We also tried the Snapper Fish Tacos, which were simply scrumptious. The spicy slaw that accompanies them is just the right amount of kick to wake up your taste buds.
The Blue Clove is a must-visit, whether for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is spotless, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the restrooms are well-maintained. I’ll definitely be spreading the word about this incredible dining experience. Next time, I’ll make sure to capture some photos to share in my review.

Read moreOne of my few, rare, five star reviews! Granted, the price was a bit on the higher end!! However, the service, the freshness, the flavor, the spices used, and the creativity of the meal, I... I literally can say flawless across the board!! Special shout out to Gabe!! You sir, are not only an amazing Waiter, but a creative genius in terms of the Margarita you created!! Gabe made the most amazing margarita I’ve ever had in my life! It shall be deemed THE famous cucumber, jalapeño margarita!! It is a MUST TRY!!
Also on the first time experiences of the meal. Was my introduction to Drum fish! Okay... okay... I’ve never heard of it, let alone had it before to eat! And upon the recommendation of the aforementioned Gabe, the crab drum fish, was presented to the table. IT! WAS! AMAZING!! Delicious, I have since scoured the local area of Houston, looking for an establishment that serves this delectable fish! As of yet, I have found none! This has me feening, for a return trip to Corpus Christi!! I also partook in their gumbo, and their bread pudding and my goodness!! If seafood or just delicious food is your forte, THIS IS A MUST VISIT ESTABLISHMENT! I say again! MUST VISIT! As I stated. This is one of my rare 5 star reviews. And in this experience. The price was not extravagant but pricier then local dining. So it wasn’t cheap. But the other focal points were met with such pristine and delicious successfulness, that I would be unjust and dare I say foolish to not click these stars 1-5!! All of them! They’ve earned all Of them! Gabe, again thank you for the recommendations and the...
Read moreGreat place for weekday lunch with good parking and great service. The last time I visited this restaurant they were still located on the other side of town. I was excited to order my old favorite. The soft shell crab sandwich. Unfortunately they changed the bread to something more plain. It used to be made with an anise rye bread. That was half it charm and what made it so interesting so I was disappointed to learn it was changed. I had lunch here with my sister. The waiter brought out a bread basket of rosemary rolls. The bread was dry and the butter had that flavor as if it were left uncovered in the refrigerator for a long period of time. My ordered the chicken fried chicken. That came with gravy, mashed potatoes and veggies. The crust had the old oil flavor. That greasy taste fried food gets when the frying oil has been used for too long and not changed out. The gravy and mashed potatoes were amazing! Covered the oil flavor for the most part. Best white gravy I've ever had at restaurant. I had the lemon pesto salmon. I prefer a traditional basil pesto, this one was more herbaceous but delicious. The salmon was ok. And the veggies are great, could use a bit more seasoning though. We shared the potato crabmeat bisque. It was good but nothing special. It wasn't creamy like a bisque should be. I also had the ginger pear margarita. I'll be back for more of those. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Overall, I'll go back and try...
