My husband an I came down for a little get-away and stumbled across Yo Philly - and we were so glad too. The shop is decorated in an homage to Philly with easy access to the menu, ordering, food pickup, drinks and tables. Even with a few customers ahead of us, and more filing in behind us the service was quick. The employees were fabulous with the playful sarcasm yet friendly openness you'd expect from your local shop. They make you ring the bell if you tip (which is fun in and of itself) but they absolutely deserve every tip they get. Though they keep the place moving quickly they are helpful and don't get impatient with questions. They are sure to use your name not just for your call out of food but when conversing. It just adds a nice layer of acceptance to the atmosphere. The food quality is incredible - if you like authentic Philly subs you will not be disappointed. The Beast (Philly with onion, mushroom, and peppers) was what I got the first time we went (yes.... we went back to back days. You would too if you try them.) and the col Italian the second time. They have capicola too - so you know you cannot go wrong. Both meals were filling and worth the price. Either onion ring or french fry as the side is delicious and crispy good. The pepper relish was a taste of my old South Jersey Sub days and made the subs even better. The environment is welcoming, open, and very clean. Even when they were busy (at least for the weekdays we were there - I am sure it's packed on weekends) it remained clean. They are right off the beach also if you wanted to take it to go. All in all - you will not be disappointed if you stop here for a meal. I just wish we lived closer so we could be...

I have had better Philly cheesesteaks at home. Tried this place to see what is was about since they are opening one in Portland soon. Will NOT return or visit the new location! The owner himself was rude! We had never been here before and the couple in front of us was looking at the menu,as well as my family, to see what was offered. We were not greeted by the owner, rather he said “come on guys it can’t be that hard to decide, I sell cheesesteaks here!” . And not in a joking way, he was trying to rush us, he was practically pacing waiting on one of us to order. Well sir, there is more than just that on your menu and we were viewing our options to see what we wanted to try. Maybe we wanted to try one of your other sandwiches you offer, or a burger or pizza even. Oh yeah, and as he’s yelling this to us, he is also telling the cashier to let us know that they have no fries or onion rings with meals today, only chips! I was put off before we even placed our order. After placing our order, it was a big ordeal to get change for the cash we gave. Their excuse was we just opened! Then post a sign if you can’t take large bills, as well as what you aren’t offering to your customers so they can decide whether to even dine there. Half of the drinks they offered from their fountain machine were out of order. They did have a fridge of canned drinks to compensate. But that only means their machine hasn’t been working for a while, and don’t plan on fixing it. And for the food, I couldn’t even taste the meat in it. All I could taste was cheese. Not good. First impressions make a big impact. And I must say, we were NOT impressed! Would...

Yo Philly is a fantastic spot! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a friendly and energetic atmosphere. The staff is always smiling and ready to help you navigate their delicious menu. And speaking of the menu, their cheesesteaks are the real deal! The thinly sliced steak is cooked to perfection, piled high on a soft roll, and the cheese is wonderfully melty and gooey. They don't skimp on the fillings, and every bite is packed with flavor. Beyond the classic cheesesteak, they also offer a great variety of other sandwiches and sides. The onion rings are crispy and addictive, and the Italian hoagie I tried on another visit was equally impressive with fresh, quality ingredients. The restaurant itself has a cool, casual vibe with some fun Philly-themed decor that adds to the experience. What really sets Yo Philly apart is the consistency. Every time I've been, the food has been top-notch, and the service has been excellent. It's clear they take pride in what they do, and it shines through in the quality of their food and the welcoming environment. If you're looking for an authentic and delicious taste of Philly right here in Ingleside, you absolutely have to check out Yo Philly! You won't be...

Hot, sweaty and hungry after a morning tour of the USS Lexington on a summer day in Corpus Christi, we were thrilled to find Yo Philly just a few blocks away. Unassuming, no frills, clean location that is a dedicated shrine to all things Philly. I can only imagine what a game day during the NFL season is like. The service was friendly, helpful (especially for this first timer) and fast! The food was hot and tasty. We had a basic cheese steak no onions (for our older teenage son) and two "the beast from the east" cheesesteaks. Got the combos with fries and a drink. The fries were seasoned just right and I enjoyed a side of brown gravy with mine. I also got a side of the "not so hot" pepper relish which was fabulous. Just the right level of heat and sweet that was the perfect compliment to my cheesesteak. One warning...southerners beware....as an authentic Philly transplant their iced tea is UNSWEET. I'll give them some grace because the rest of our meal was amazing!! If you're planning to visit Corpus Christi, definitely put Yo Philly Ceese Steaks on your must do list.

Last time I had yo Philly was back in 2019 and it was amazing. Today I'm sad that I can't sat that. Fries aren't that season, Philly steak sandwiches wasn't good at all which I'm very upset about. They decide where you sit for you and we sat in the the middle on the right and it was pretty crowded and tight which had me uncomfortable and I was getting frustrated because I Sat where I felt comfortable then just got told where I needed to sit which everyone 6ft away from each other at all so that's what I was frustrated about as well on top of being so cramp up. Cheese wiz sorry not the best like they say. Oreo balls I never liked them but my husband wanted them he ate one and our son ate two. Our little one liked it but us not so much. Staff is okay they only one thing I wanted but they didn't have was their famous delicious funnel cake fries which I love probably will be the only thing there that I will always enjoy. Drinks guys you can get refills. Decor always been the same which I love but the lighting in that place really are dim.
