I have been here before and really liked the food even though service was kinda slow for the number of customers they had. So today I was excited to bring my husband for the first time. We were seated right away and there were more customers than last time but still a few empty tables...and 3 waitresses...in a restaurant with less than 20 tables. We got our drinks right away....Then proceeded to wait for 20 minutes to get our order taken...which never happened. No one came by and said they'd be with us soon or anything. I told my husband if they didn't come by before we finished our drinks, we were leaving. At 20 minutes, our waitress was at the register with 3 groups of people to cash out and we gave up. Even if she had taken our order after helping those people, there was no telling how much longer till we got our food. We left money on the table to cover the drinks and left. I might go back someday because the food is good, but service was terrible. And in case the excuse is lack of staff, it wasn't that. None of the waitresses had a sense of urgency. They meandered around taking their time doing whatever they were doing. I've seen restaurants that size with 2 waitresses who managed just fine because they hustled. Also, the 2 older waitresses (not ours) were super grumpy. I think the staff needs to be retrained or replaced. They are killing...

Kinda just lies wrapped in a lie. First off, don't believe anything about a soda fountain. There is none or anything that resembles one, and yes, I grew up with one as a kid. I was mostly excited about this, but, nah, just a lie to attract suckers. The building's mural, just paint over that lie. Overall the place is dirty and the decor is dated in a bad way. It needs an extreme makeover. It's dingy and cracked and, I mean it could be nice in a retro way IF it was renovated, but as it stands, it's just dirty. The food is basic, plain, and uninteresting. Nothing really to say here. It's stuff you can make at home and not worth the wait. And speaking of that, we waited 45mins to be seated and I don't know why. It wasn't busy, 75% of the tables were empty, and the staff, nice as they were, weren't letting anyone in. The place was well-staffed, but they had no control. Then my daughter orders the pancake with whipped cream, and they forget the cream. Ok, they remedied it immediately, but I mean come on, it's two ingredients, how in the actual world do you forget. One redeeming factor was the relatively friendly price, but there was really nothing here that would ever have me coming back. Not that I'll ever be in...

Stopped for brunch on Saturday with my wife, waited 5 minutes for a table. Got our drinks quickly (water and tea) and a waitress took our order. An hour later we were watching other people get their food when they came in after us. No one stopped at our table for an hour.. finally someone came up and asked if we have been waiting longer than 30 minutes for our food. Yes, waited over an hour! Come to find out our order never went through. Another 20 minutes later we got our order and it wasn’t even all of what we ordered. We were over it. No one came to apologize and no one came to refill our drinks. We waited for the ticket but no one came over so we got up ourselves and had to ask the guy to take off our missing food. He apologized, saying the kitchen was busy but every table was full when we got there and hardly anyone was there when we got our food/left. We tried to explain to him what the waitress told us but he didn’t do anything. We left and...

This place is amazing!!! This was my first time here, and it was a great experience. I did visit like 20 minutes before lunch started, but they were so kind to allow me to order a salad. I ordered the Greek salad and a sweet tea. This salad looked like the chef placed one item at a time on this dish. It looked so professional. The blend of dressing was just right, and the chicken was tender. To include the staff were all very hospitable and my waitress Hailey was the best. She checked on me a few times, which was just perfect and has the kindest personality. The music was on point, my kinda music. This place is so extravagant inside and out. I will be returning for breakfast and lunch to try some different dishes.

My niece, nephew, and I were taking a stroll downtown and are always up to try a new place to eat. From the moment we walked in, everyone was super nice. This wasn't limited to the staff; the patrons at this establishment were also friendly, a reminder of the closeness of our small community. Our server spoke respectfully and patiently with my niece and nephew as she took their order, making them feel very comfortable. The food (classic burger and chicken salad sandwich) were delicious. I would also like to note that they have hand sanitizer at the entrance and require you use it to ensure a safe environment for everyone. We will definitely be back!

Chicken fried steak was deliciously hand breaded. Mashed potatoes were lumpy indicating NOT instant! Onion rings were lightly battered & crispy. Creamy gravy was sweet & rich made with milk & real dairy butter .......just like my mom's. The early 1900's drugstore fountain with counter, tables & booths and original decorative floor tile reminded me of my experiences eating at a drug store counter in the 1950's. The server squirts Dr. Pepper syrup (with cane sugar) into the glass then adding carbonated water & stirring was a window into the past! The way it started in Waco, Texas in the 1880's.
