Burger King — Restaurant in Cortez

Update 7/2025 - This poor place is suffering from the generational, economic curse. They are running short handed on a Sunday. Line takes a long time and is run by the same guy doing drive thru. Back is run by another guy also running the food. Dining area is a wreck. Took forever just to get the cups even after ordering. So much for their previous gains.

Update: 6/2023 - Since my first review, this place has really come along. The cleanliness inside is now about on par with most fast food joints. The play area is open again now that the pandemic has subsided. Perhaps it took the pandemic to really “come clean.” Are there better burger places in the county? Yes. But for someone with dietary restrictions stemming from the pandemic (long COVID), this is a place I have found I can at least trust to have my burger done “my way.” It took a few complaints to get it that way, but change is good and the ability to grow and learn should be applauded.

Previous: Ask yourself: Do you really have to? Bugs everywhere, slow to clean, so the only thing you might get out of it is the drive thru. Otherwise, there is a nice little cafe across the highway, there’s other fast food joints to try, but this really is not worth the effort if you are...

Around 11:08 (time on receipt)am on Aug 11, 2014; order #79; I ordered two Whoppers and two Original Chicken Sandwiches....I told the order taker..."To Go"

sigh I don't care how this sounds but, if you're going to live and work in the United States, learn the national language...English!!! I told the woman the two whoppers are without tomatoes, pickles and onions. "You want these on burger?" the woman at the register asked. "No, I said without,,,,no pickles, onions or tomatoes". "Hokay, you want pickle, onion, tomato, no thing else" she says. "NO! NO pickles, onions or tomatoes; I want everything else on it, but NO pickles, onions or tomatoes!!!"

Not only did I end up without lettuce, ketchup or mayonnaise, but I got double pickles, onions and tomatoes, and instead of in a bag, it was all on a tray; so much for telling her the order was "to go". It wasn't until I got home that I found the mistake on the whoppers; if I go back again, I'm making sure everything is 100% correct...

COVID-19 Warning June 12 2020 9:14 PM Ordered food Cashier at window was counting lots of money wearing gloves then proceeded to go from counting cash to scooping ice and touching the inside of customers cups I asked him if he would change his gloves between counting cash in register and touching my debit card he refused and contaminated the entire ice chest with gloves he counted out his drawer out with. CHECK THE CAMERA I asked for a refund and he told me I was never allowed at burger Burger King again. he refused to give me his name but claimed to be the manager THAT ICE CHEST NEEDS TO BE...
