I can't taste any of this...it seems watered down or too much oil, which also made a mess every where. Very little meat in either tasteless dish. My hot and sour soup tastes like water, oil and carrots. Why is there carrots, corn, peas and celery in it? I was told they were spicy, but nothing spicy let alone flavor. Is this a legitimate business? I've hears nothing but bad stuff... now I know it is. Update: this is disturbing. My wildlife loves Chinese food and for two days they haven't touched it. My cats should have finished this off the first hour...and then a raccoon cleans it up. But they won't touch it. I almost threw my food away, but I was too hungry. Lol

this place has amazing Chinese food for a great price. If you're in Cortez and craving Chinese, you gotta check it out. We didn't expect much when we walked into the small, old restaurant, but we were blown away by how good the food was. I highly recommend it!

Always amazing and kind. This place has been around for over 20 years and has changed owners a couple of times. The new owners are extremely good at what they do and I can tell there is a higher quality of ingredients and preparation

This used to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in the four corners. Who knows, maybe it still is. Doubtful I will be back any time soon. Have eaten kung bao chicken here twice since they reopened. First time was bland and tasteless, no sign of any spices. This time it had a taste, but not identifiable by me.

  1. this isn't a restaurant, its a take out place with some tables inside. The food still comes in a box and with no sauce for the egg roll.
  2. it's good the food comes in a box - the half pint of oil the food is swimming in would run off the edge of a real plate.
  3. egg roll is the standard shamrock frozen egg roll - impossible for anyone to cook it in such a way that it doesn't turn to mush inside. This time it was stull half frozen (well below chilly room temperature inside). At least probably cold enough not to grow bacteria
  4. hot tea says 'jasmine tea' on the check. Maybe it is. Tastes like Lipton to me.

To their credit , the place is always clean and I believe the food is wholesome. But it could be so much better with just a few...

Lovely little place! We were served by the wife of the chef, a very sweet, friendly lady who shared with us a bit about her life in China. The food was excellent! Served quickly, nice and hot, and soooo good! I had the beef and broccoli and sweet and sour pork, and my husband had the sweet and sour chicken, and cashew chicken. All of it was excellent! The best sweet and sour pork I have had in a long time! Big cuts of peppers, onions and carrots in it, where many places just have sauce. The beef was delicious and tender, large slices, too! The prices were much better than the only other Chinese place I know of here. I'm surprised they weren't packed! It was nice and quiet, though they had many customers come in for take out. The atmosphere was clean and simply decorated, not "busy." Don't miss this place if you're looking for good...

I may be just another hungry fat white guy, but when I came in here my expectations were low. I ordered the basic Caucasian package- (general chicken, orange chicken, pot stickers, cheese wontons)... Bro! This blew my socks off and knocked me into next week. The general chicken was crispy, sweet, not too spicy, just right. The orange somehow had the perfect taste of orange zest in the crispy perfected morsels. The pot stickers were steamed beautifully and every bite had me begging for another. The cheese wontons are better than any I have ever had. I would eat here every day if I was a local. The atmosphere was great, staff was friendly, and food was spectacular. If I'm ever back here I will...
