My boyfriend and I both work really odd hours and usually have his son and my niece over so end up ordering or eating out more than we care to admit a week. We probably order from Crowtown at least twice a week, more or less depending as it's his favorite place. I personally prefer Plus One Pizza, their rewards program is awesome and they're always super nice and take care to keep customers returning, something the employees at Crowtown could take a lesson from. I'll reiterate that the only reason this lasted so long was due to the other half liking Crowtown's sauce... Some of the food literally has me shaking my head in confusion, salads with only lettuce and a pound of cheese for an exaggerated cost, "boneless wings" that are burned chicken nuggets with sauce on the side, orders that are put in wrongly, or just completely different than what ordered. For some reason today was the last straw; we live exactly .9 mile (READ, not even one mile out of town) out of Coshocton corp limit and while I was at home alone I called to order a sub for $7 plus delivery fees. Then was told, rudely, he wouldn't bring it since I was out of town unless I added another, (exactly!)$2.05, which turned into another $6. I've managed small businesses that have one location to operating in nearly every county in several states; small businesses rely on repeat business and returning customers, keep them happy. I don't care whose sauce he likes, I'm taking my butt back to Plus One where they actually are happy to have you stick around, send one sandwich half a...
Read moreCrowtown has always been a family favorite of ours. Tonight was a big event for our daughter and after the awards ceremony we went to celebrate at crowtown. The second we walked in you could tell the staff was irritated by us being there. Their hours say they are open until 9pm. We walked in at 7:56pm. As soon as we entered the door the girl was giving attitude about where we can sit then said sorry the buffet is closed we can't make anymore food but you can help yourself to whatever is out there. We told her that was fine. There was plenty left on the buffet for us. As soon as we walked over to get our plates 3 male workers from the back come out and rudely said that we needed to hurry up and get what we wanted because they needed to clean up. Was maybe five minutes after 8pm. Absolutely rude and disrespectful. Trying to rush us and we hadn't even started. After many times of them telling us to hurry up we walked out. If they want people out of the restaurant by 8pm so they can clean then they need to change their hours. We won't be going back if that's the way they treat their customers....
Read moreI'd had some time off work so I was randomly driving around central Ohio. Wound up in Coshocton and decided to give this place a try.
I ordered a 4 pc breadstick and a medium pizza with mushrooms and green olives. The breadsticks were acceptable, though I suspect the sauce they came with may have been store bought. The pizza itself was pretty good though. The mushrooms weren't the cheap, rubbery, canned ones that a lot of places use. The crust was interesting, as it was a sort of midway point between hand-tossed and pan pizza. Definitely made it more convenient to eat while driving.
My only complaint would be that the menu and specialty pizzas are all very meat-centric. However I understand that Coshocton has a relatively low population so catering to the vegetarian crowd is probably not their top priority.
Overall, it was a good experience. The quality of the food was higher than I expected, and was priced reasonably. I will definitely eat here again the next time I find myself in the...
