Bobapop Tea Bar — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

I pass by this area often and saw this store finally open for their soft opening. It's a pretty sweet deal, 20% all drinks. I still can't believe it's a soft opening because the drinks are just made to absolute perfection! SOOO GOOD!!

I ordered: Brown sugar latte: 5/5 This has to be my favorite place to get this drink!!!! The brown sugar is so yummy and just the right amount of sweetness. Also the boba is so chewy and not hard like some places. The brown sugar that they put around the cup makes the drink look really nice too, but the taste is what made me wish I got another one!

Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea: 5/5 This drink was something I can't find anywhere else so I decided to try it. It tastes like Jasmine green tea, and the brown rice milk was super interesting too. It tasted milky, and I really like this combination. It's super refreshing!!

Also, I needed some suggestions while ordering and the worker said that they FRESHLY BREW THE TEA here. So compared to other places where they use tea packets or make a large batch for the day, this place makes every single drink from scratch. Honestly, I was surprised because my drinks didn't even take that long to come out. Workers were also so nice and accommodating. This place is SOOO GOOOD!!!!!

As a boba aficionado, Bobapop Tea Bar exceeded my expectations. Having been lucky enough to try boba drinks where it originated in Taiwan, this place is legit. Their drinks are individually made on the spot with separate tea bags, so it's very fresh. That makes it unique in itself. Most boba places premix the tea to make it fast, however I prefer waiting a little longer to get a handmade artisinal drink. What also makes this place stand out is the Japanese brown rice milk tea I ordered. I've never seen it at any other place. I love the flavor so much that I wished I had ordered another one.

Most boba places are either too sweet or their boba is too hard. Bobapop Tea Bar made the drink with the perfect sweetness. The boba was soft and chewy with the perfect texture. The environment was cosy and had a warm vibe. The girl was very helpful as she recommended certain tea drinks to my boys after learning about their preferences. I cannot say enough AMAZING things about this shop. The Sea Salt Vietnamese coffee is single handedly the best coffee I’ve ever had. Not only is it locally owned by two wonderful sisters their drinks are even better. I’ve never wrote a review before but after leaving the shop I felt very compelled too. First off the pricing is very reasonable and on the cheaper side compared to other boba shops in the area. The selections of drinks is huge and you are sure to find something you like from coffee to tea and even slushies. Lastly, my husband and I got to talking with the ladies up front we then learned that they were sisters and they opened up the shop.
