EZ Kebab — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

Came here to pick up an Uber Eats order and the owner of this restaurant thought I was a courier that steals orders so he tried to make me swipe my phone and show him confirmation before handing over the order. This is discrimination in my opinion or at least this practice leaves room for discrimination. This practices is against Uber’s policy so I had to call support to report this place and get the order unassigned and they sent me to the restaurant next door. I highly recommended that they do not immediately send another driver because that is exactly why they don’t appreciate the driver that arrives. Who knows because once the order was removed from UBER’s app on MY phone it’s no longer my business. If you know someone that does delivery with gig apps let them know they have options and they don’t have to be managed by restaurants in this way as if we are employees of theirs. This restaurant does not appreciate the service of delivery that we offer that they do not normally offer. They think all of us steal so they need “confirmation”. He never clarified and said I need to see it on your phone and I’m pretty sure I heard him say I need you to confirm the pickup. That is management of my status in the app and the owner of this place is NOT MY manager. If another courier goes along with it that’s not my business either. Food tasted nothing like lebanese food. The spices were not proper for each dish. Kebbeh tasted nothing like real kebbeh. All the food tasted weird. The only good thing was French fried which was most likely frozen. Also, the service was not that good. We did not get our order as we requested. We specifically asked for NO ONIONS in the shawarma (repeated that 3 times) yet they still put so much onions. It was a waste. What also concerned me was the water used in the fountain drinks. It tasted so disgusting 🤢. The water filter is concerning here. Please check the quality of your water!!!!! "Lebanese burger" Was not actually lebanese burger. What was inside the burger was not what should be inside a lebanese burger. The food quality overall was horrible. We wasted about $200 on really low quality food!!! High chairs were dirty. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The place has a very nice outdoor patio area to eat at, or you can eat at the fine dining side if you like with table service and a very nice ambiance. The food was very good. The only disappointment my friend and I had was this... Me: Chicken kabob - not very much chicken! And for the price, there should have been more.
