Abeille Nail — Local services in Costa Mesa

Liked the nails I got however I paid for the dip through ClassPass and had gelX on my nails from previous, and got charged for the removal of my old nails. So had to pay an additional $20 (I think $10 for removal and $10 for design). I’ve never had this happen at any other salon where I get charged for the removal of the old nails, so feels a little scammy that they’ll charge you on top of the service; I understand if you don’t get a service and they charge solely for removal of the old nail, but never had them charge for removal and service on top.

I paid but then felt a little wrong, so tried to ask for clarification after and they said this was just their standard process.

UPDATE: The business owner contacted me and refunded the $10°after I posted this review. I did appreciate that, and though I would not be back given this initial encounter, I do think their nails were well done. Ask costs before any service is provided. I tipped on top of the design + nail removal initially, so not bothered by additional costs or trying to be cheap-but thrown off by their standard process that I hadn't experience at the dozens of other salons l've been to before. I walked in and An was able to fit me in for a gel manicure even though the salon was busy. I had my 6 month baby with me and it was hard getting my nails done and taking care of my baby at the same time. It was inconvenient but An still delivered a beautiful nails for me and helped me out with my baby at one point. I love the salon. Great vibe! Great staff and services!!! I would recommend 1000/10.
