First time here..weekday 6pm parking was good across a park in cotati..service was ok..food was tasty but for a place like this esp. From what I know usually Greek food portions are not so small. Was truly disappointing for the prices on some dishes and the portions did not warrant for the pricing.. had the soup, 11.00 eggplant dip,10.00 octopus 24.00 and calamari 19.00 with one beer 8.00 and with tax and 18% tip was almost 100.00 for 2 ppl. My son said he would come back to try something else. But I would not..I understand in sf restaurants charge like this etc..I was just surprised how much their dishes were and if they at least had more, then pricing would be in line for me..not fir a s all town like cotati to charge so much.. Nowadays expensive to go out to eat portions are smaller..I was hungry too..just was really disappointed... Compared to upscale place in sf Kolkari Estiadorio their prices were reasonable and bit lless than mezzeluna..i.e. their soup was 12.50, octopus 19.00, calamari 14.00, 4 dips was 12.00 compare to 1 bowl of dip here was 10.00..not going back..cute little place with outdoor seating..that was the better part of...
Read moreWe came to this restaurant since we were in the mood for Greek food. Great friendly service, I’ll give them that. Their food was rather a miss at times. Some of their items are grilled which shows a lack of expertise in cooking skills in my opinion. Grilled food tends to burn. All the items grilled were too charred and all you could taste was burnt flavor-not appealing. Burnt veggies and burnt, overcooked dry salmon. Yea um I’m gonna say noooo. Their Brussels sprouts in a cast iron had great items like feta and an amazing EVOO, but the sprouts themselves were so hot, like a 100 million degrees. They were also bitter, and too hard and crunchy as if undercooked even though they looked over cooked, meaning they were like arm green colored over cooked-like huh? How is that possible?!?Like a science experiment gone wrong…Fortunately a few other items and their dolmas with sauce and arugula was good. We might be back for their non-grilled items..After spending a lot of money, you don’t want to leave...
Read moreOh man, I really wanted to love this place. There was no hospitality here. And zero cohesion with the staff. We ordered the side of Brussel sprouts, and they came out 1 million degrees, but somehow completely undercooked. Like, it was hard to get a fork into. We asked the server if she could put them in the oven a little longer, she said she would recook them, but that they were supposed to be like that. When they came back, they were great. I had the branzino, which was sadly over cooked and under seasoned. But the portion and presentation was pretty good. Our server was dismissed during our meal, she said a quick goodbye with her purse on as she walked out the door we were sitting near, and then we saw no one until we literally flagged someone down for our check. No one checked in with “hi, I’m taking over for blah blah, how is everything so far”… we just got ghosted by the staff. How does that even happen in such a small place?! The hummus is decent, but not silky. Maybe we were there on...
