Thai On Main Bistro — Restaurant in Cottage Grove

There were a couple of younger guys at the counter when my Fiancée and I went in to order food. It must have been close to their closing time because the employees seemed less than enthusiastic about our arrival and subsequent order. They were friendly enough but seemed slightly disingenuous. After paying the $28.00 i tipped the remaining $2.00 as We were taking the food to go. The guy who took the order specified it would take 20 minutes to prepare and cook the food.

I asked if they had a restroom and proceeded to use the facilities and wash my hands. I was in there approximately 4 minutes. It should have been a big RED FLAG when the food was ready as soon as I walked to the table where my lovely Fiancee was waiting. We stopped at Bohemia park to eat and the food seemed a little off to me. I suggested we wait until we get home to finish it...again at home it seemed to be a bit off. I tried to power through the taste but failed. Later my stomach started hurting and my bowels seem to have liquefied. I have a raging case of food poisoning. Do NOT EAT HERE...I am still very much in the middle of the worst symptoms and NO RESTAURANT SHOULD serve bad food to rush home. If that's what you're doing then close the damned restaurant early...but certainly don't serve less than fresh food to a customer. I doubt I could even enjoy a superbly made Pad Thai at this point.

They should feel ashamed...

If you have any apprehension about Thai on Main- don't. This is the best Thai food I've had, hands down. The food was hot, fresh, and tasted like quality ingredients were used. The orange honey chicken was the right amount of sweet and savory. The pad Thai had crispy vegetables and juicy chicken. I love the pink milk Thai tea, and my daughter got the pink milk and absolutely loved it. We even got dessert- mango and sticky rice. The rice was warm and sweet, with fresh sliced mango and a decadent coconut cream on top. Talk about a food coma. The service was the cherry on top for me, as the server continued to make sure my family (2 kids under 3 years old) were satisfied and accommodated. I seriously couldn't have asked for a better experience. I can't wait to take my husband so...

I have been to this place many times they have decent curry and pad thai but everytime I get a stir fry no matter if its the orange chicken or the beef and broccoli they soak it in so much sauce its like a soup. Today I had the crispy salmon and it was anything but crispy, the breading was so saugie it was like slime and inedible. On top of that I ordered the coconut shrimp and some calamari and what I got was coconut fish sticks and some sort of onion ring shaped fried squid. I have been graceful with this place because my wife likes the curry but we can get decent curry at any thai place and today after spending 73$ for 2 people my...
