Went for the Utes Game, had dinner and beers. Sat down and waited 10 minutes for our server to come to the table. The service never got any better.. our server flat out told us she forgot about our beers and asked if we wanted to order another round now so that she would hopefully remember.
My debit card was charged and posted on Sunday. The card was charged an extra $11.35 I called the bar requesting to speak to a manager. NO manager on duty?? What restaurant leaves their employees without a manager? Not only was a manager not on duty but I was hung up on twice Sunday night.
Called back on Monday afternoon and same thing NO manager?? I explained the issue that I was charged an addition $11.35 more than what my bill and receipt showed. The guy on the phone told me that the amount I tipped was not sufficient enough for the order total. Watch your tips because apparently this bar feels like they have the right to adjust your total amount to make sure the tip is sufficient enough.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD!!! I cannot believe The Huddle could not resolve my issue and instead was told that my tip was not enough for my order total amount. I gave them a week to contact me back when a manager is FINALLY on duty… no call so I’ve disputed this with my bank and I hope something comes out of this because adjusting someone’s tip because they feel they deserve more when the service was AWFUL is NOT right or okay!!
This bar was a recommendation by a friend.. I will not return because of...
Read moreOk... so we are new to SLC. We came from Phoenix where there are sports bars similar to this on every corner. First thing... Lot's of tv's for games. 2 large projection. The audio throughout the bar is from the main 2 projection screens. We have been to other "bars" in SLC and this was more familiar to what we are use to. Second... Food. We ordered the habanero queso and chicken tacos. We were pleasantly surprised that it was really good. Great flavor and heat with the dip. Third... service. So I will try and be gentle. Management needs to train the waitresses to be more efficient. I obviously don't know what areas they cover but they have a tendency to walk past tables that are theirs without following up on drinks/food/check. Forth... bar. Very cool to see many different flags from many different University's hanging throughout. Many hightops as well as tables. Bathrooms could use papertowel dispenser as well as air dry. With that a trash can! Not everyone wants to touch the door handle even though we expect everyone to wash their hands. Yes, I know it's extra work, but nevertheless this is what people think whenever they use the bathroom. Possible to eliminate the smoking on the patio?? We would really have liked to sit outside and even bring our dogs, but can't do the smoking. We are used to no smoking within 50 feet of the entrance. This obviously is not the case here. Just food for thought. Overall good place, but can see where it could be...
Read moreI recently had a 0/10 experience here. This had been one of my favorite sports bars - decent beer and great vibes, so many TVs with all the games on — naturally it was a great choice for watching March Madness. When we got there, there was only 1 men’s game going and they had it on 6 TVs. 4 women’s games were also going but none being shown on their TVs. That means at least 15 TVs with no sports games on. I asked our waitress if we could put some women’s games on, she said she’d ask her manager. I saw her go ask the middle aged white man (surprised?) if they could put some women’s games on. He LAUGHED and said “I can’t do that during March Madness” and then begrudgingly “I’ll try to get it on 1 TV.” He then proceeded to pretend to find a women’s game on the TV guide for a few minutes (NCAAW games were on 4 different ESPN channels but he didn’t seem to realize this) before leaving everything unchanged. It was unbelievably gender biased at best, flat out sexist at worst. To be treated as if I, a sports fan just like anyone else, cannot attend a sports bar to watch games that I am interested in, was very demeaning. The implication was clear — the only sporting events that matter are mens. I won’t be back and if you enjoy watching women’s sports don’t waste your time...
